"Shyne" Debut album is hot, I can't see how anyone could say it's weak. Production was strong and Shyne came through. "God Father Buried Alive" was OK, but that was a cut and paste LP while Shyne was in jail. These joints were my shit though:

If his opinion didn't matter, why so many people care? I think Big is the GOAT, but that is a subjective opinion. Someone could think Big is trash, but that is how they feel. I can't change it. Sure most would disagree but that person is entitled to feel what they want. Subjectivity is what makes art what it is. There is no right or wrong answer. Right now it seems most are feeling GKMC on some level so Shyne is in the minority. With that said show me a rapper that can sell 1.5 Million records behind bars not named Tupac. Shyne was able to be successful while his life was in complete turmoil. The Shyne situation is why though I respect Puff, I always will have a disrespect for how he handled that situation. Also wasn't Game on Shyne's dick not to long ago? I'm not shocked he going to ride for Kendrick, they rep the same label and team. He has to do it.

Put it like this...Shyne announces he's dropping an album tomorrow...you REALLY think millions going to be waiting to hear it? Go out and buy it? Musically yes he's irrelevant...news wise because he's Shyne and always connected to Puffy he can always say some wild shit and get attention, but whose calling this nigga up for features? That and it seems like Shyne's dislike of the album isn't genuine dislike...like he's just tryign to be different...it ain't like he said "Nah I'm just not feeling the album" his original statement for no reason at all called people who like the album dick riders and took at shot at Kendrick's fan base and anybody who enjoyed the album period...how you expect people to respond to that? How can you say "Shyne's dislike isn't a genuine dislike" Are you in his head? If he didn't like the album, he didn't like it. I'm not going to pretend to know his reasons. Also wasn't Shyne featured on "Carter IV"? the biggest selling rap album of last year? Look my point is if nobody cared what Shyne felt or had to say why is the reaction so Big? Why didn't people just say, "Fuck Shyne, move on" Cause Shyne has more respect then some people in this very thread are willing to admit. My point is the reaction is a little overboard. He didn't like the album, people acting like he raped their mothers. It's not that serious, not everyone is going to like a particular piece of art.

I clearly said "seems like" as in "I don't know for sure"...so your question was pointless. And again it's one thing to not like an album but he didn't say just that. He went out his way to call it trash and call anyone who likes it dick riders. his statement wasnt well thought out but i think he was trying to say for such a hyped up album it didnt have a mainstream sound that initially hits u which most would expect and hes partially right. But kendrick stlye is indie which gives his music a more organic feel which make the album that much better.
