Should Kobe be the MVP?

Rose benefits from great team Defense in which he's not even the best defensive player. You shouldnt get an MVP award based on the fact that your team is winning. SO?

Either you the best player in the league or you arent. And Dwight Howard is the best player in the league right now cuz he is his team's defense AND offense. Dont get me wrong Rose is still a monster & it aint like him getting the MVP is some kind of disgrace. Im just saying I'd give it to Howard.

And um....Kobe is still top 4. And Nash still owes him one of his MVPs. But nah he's not the MVP.

Notice how he'll win every and anything that he has control over. But if the vote or outcome is based on media or "other" people it doesn't happen. But like I said you can't take away from what Derrick Rose has been doing. And Dwight Howard? Really? So how is this year different from when Kobe didn't get it in 06' and Nash did? I see the media is tryna show their bias to the Lakers and Kobe like always, but no way in hell is he winning it over Rose. Dude deserve it imo, i don't want to hear no second half nonsense, Rose been doing it all year with less.

I wish the media would get out the mvp talk and let the voters decide, they are always tryna put their little biases and two words in it.

i think what hurts Kobe the most is , his level of play is expected from him , so it just looks normal coming from him, but when other people do it , it stands out more, like Kobe can Post up crazy numbers and folks will just go "Oh thats just Kobe, nothing new" ...

his game is Elevated so high that what he does doesnt surprise anyone anymore...

but i still Think Rose is the MVP , Cuz lets face it CJ Watson Running Point for the bulls the bulls would be no where near what they are now, CJ is ok but the bulls go as far as rose goes.

Oh no he is a great choice dude's havin the best year of his career. I'm just pointing out how it's crazy the media seems so confused about they're excuses as to why players shouldn't get it. Because the Magic have been pretty sub par this year and yeah if you take out Dwight they're truly trash. But same shit was said for Kobe in 06' and he didn't get it because they're record wasn't up to par. Kind of like the Magic now even though they have a few more games this year under their belt.

FInals MVP = Best Player on the best team in the league.

I hate to sound biased. But it's being debated by all of the analysts and media now. Has Kobe taken the thunder away from Derrick Rose. If they Lakers catch the Spurs and close out the season 25-1 shouldn't Kobe get that MVP? Not taking anything away from the great year Derrick Rose has had.

CO-FUCKING-SIGN! I came on this site to make this thread and it was already stated for me.. Kobe Bryant should be the MVP of the NBA hands down.. I was heavy on the D. Rose bandwagon but aside from my Southern Cali residency biased Kobe has outworked every player in the NBA since the All Star Game.. The Lakers have lost 1 game and it was to a desperate Miami Heat team who would've whacked themselves if they didnt get that Win and if not for that they would be undefeated since..

Before the allstar break all you heard was The Lakers are done and couldn't catch up to San Antonio and were down by almost 10 games back.. All that credit for coming back strong goes to the Black Mamba himself.. He put the Lakers on his back despite whoever else we have on the roster.. You can see the will to win in every game since the allstar break.. The guy severely sprains his ankle against the Mavs still finishes the game to kick their ass and has not missed 1 game all year! He plays banged up and still shows up.. Throw the numbers to the side for a moment statistically when comparing others, Kobe is playing with the most heart and passion that I've ever seen even though its not his best season stats wise.. It is mindboggling that he only has 1 MVP, that is fucking bullshyt.. Watch the Portland game, Kobe damn near rips his Jersey off cuz he wants to win that bad, check the Suns game when the bench gives up the big lead and Kobe comes thru and drops 43 making every big play you can make.. If its all about the 2nd half then Kobe is the MVP OF THE NBA PERIOD

No disrespect to LBJ, D. Howard, or D. Rose cuz they've done their jobs big time but none of them will be the champs when its all said and done and that is what matters.. Dwight's team wont make it out the 2nd round, LBJ has won the past 2 years and this year is playing with 2 big studs even though he is the engine but he dont deserve it, D. Rose who most deserves it has many more years ahead and prob wouldnt die if he was 2nd place... Kobe if anything deserves it for his will to push the team back in first place over the "BEST'' team in the league they once called the Spurs and for a lifetime achievement if nothing else.. Right but I'm saying with Howard he has the numbers but his team is not doing great record wise especially compared to the last two years they had. Which is why I'm comparing Howards campaign this year with Kobe's in 06'...great stats but the records aren't the best.
