So I guess Dakari won..

On the real, do you feel that JJ is built for that promoter life?

Anyone can do it with drive but he aint got a team and that helps a lot yo. And how much drive could he have and still not getting any and living to Atl and promoting parties.

A large amount of party promotion nowadays is online(twitter), I dont have an actual

promo team that goes around and promotes in person with me, BUT i do have an online team that tweets heavily about the events just for free admittance to them. I also have a strong twitter following myself, not to mention a text list with over 3,000 young ATL people on it. Some of these tactics helped me get ahead in promotion. ALOT of promotion and marketing is moving to the internet which is making it ALOT easier to promote without an actual team, its just THAt much easier to

Contact your market nowadays and its only going to GET easier in the future as technology advances.

Yes I have already lived it for a year now, having 4-5 events a week on average. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday And Sunday. There have been weeks where I had events on 5 out of the 7 days in the week. Due to this high level of promotion it can be hard to keep up with school.

Sounds like you've already made your decision. Just save your money. You can do it it, but it's going to be tough as hell.

Check it. As plenty of others have pointed out, I would recommend finishing school as a backup plan. You don't need a degree for what you're trying to get into, but your posts are quite telling. I would say fuck school, but it doesn't sound like you have that work ethic or maturity to be successful without a college degree.

It's not a walk in the park. I don't even understand your post considering you even mentioned that the people you work with on a regular basis have graduated from school already (not saying you should copy others, but I mean....is that not revealing in itself?).

Considering you are not even mature enough to take 5 FRESHMAN classes (read: BASIC bullshit eng/math 101 classes) and pass them easily, I highly doubt you are even ready to create a living out of what you want to do/get into.

You need to mature some. Go to a community college to make up for the time spent fucking up, stay focused and mature a bit, and you might have a different view on life that will allow you to be more focused and ready to achieve your goals. Not trying to sound too critical, just keeping it real

Do you make enough money promoting to cover your tuition?

Just asking because if you don't...and you lose your scholarship...you won't have any other choice but to drop out of college.

Do you even know how much tuition is where you're at?

I didnt say anything about money, I'm just saying that plenty of people that Go to Tuskegee COME all the way to Atlanta just for our parties lol...

Another stupid nigger who has no business in college thinks he's a "promoter." Ya you should definitely leave a college to pursue that full time. It's not like colleges are full of people looking for parties, I don't see how it would be to your advantage to stick around.

And if you think you have to be at Stupid Nigger U. in Atlanta to "network" as you call hanging around with ex drug dealers in the club scene who are now "promoters", like yourself, then you are an even bigger moron than I've given you credit for. You can network at any college.

In conclusion, pull your head out of your ass.

10,000 a semester...and thats just tuition for a full time student.

I could make that or I could attend a cheaper college once I become a georgia resident.

The people who I work with are college grads and they are still promoting the same parties as me and GETTING the same check. That tells me alot LOL. And passing college classes has nothing to do with this business stuff.

You're only further proving my point regarding your maturity in these posts. You're right that does tell a lot. What it DOES tell is currently, if they choose to stop promoting the same parties as you, or if for whatever reason that income is no longer working for them, they have other options, while you have nothing. In other words, they all have something to fall back on, and you on the other hand will be the one that is assed out.

Passing college classes requires a certain amount of dedication and discipline. For the freshman classes, it requires basically NO dedication OR discipline, yet you failed to exceed in them (hence you making this thread asking if it was worth it to continue). If you don't have the dedication or work ethic to fucking pass english 101, but you want to (I assume) make a comfortable living promoting parties, then you are either young and naive, or something is seriously wrong with you.

Depends what your networking for, If your trying to get into black entertainment the people you will meet at CAU will be much more helpful towards you than the people at a college such as Colorado state...

Also most of the promoters that really make money off the college market down here, ARE NOT in college. There niggers who promote FULL TIME around the city at places like college campuses.
