Man, Fuck Rock and Roll..we lay claim to R&B, Hiphop, and Pop..

King and Queen of POP both black..

Seem like people feel like they gotta take everything from white folks to the point they end up fighting over trivial shit, which they then inflate and use to recruit young yuppies who never been through shit..like it's a war on their race..

How u call ya self a Nazi wit ya color turned dup ?

Da new face of hatred

Black people created:

Rock

Blues

Hip Hop

RnB

Techno

Soul

Reggae

Dancehall

Azonto

Dubstep

And dominate Pop

So no it's not fuck rock n roll. Go and tell a white kid that black people created punk or goth and see if he says "man fuck punk music y'all can have that"

He'll go off on your ass.

Some white guy created basketball, MJ,KAJ,Magic,Wilt, Da Big O, Kobe, Bron..are the kings of da Court

Arguing wit white folks over semantics is short slghted and winless

U figure, that's the type of battles they wanna fight..black folks in general need to have broad views and fight meaningful battles

The best players will rise to the top in any sport, in rock music and in music general record companies and the media can push anyone so your analogy don't quite work but I see where you're going with it though.

How would one go about stripping Elvis of his title? I think his fans call him The King, not the King of Rock. I googled "The King of Rock" and the first 5 or 6 entries were all Run DMC. Elvis was way down the page.

Uhh. That's because they call him "The King of Rock and Roll". Hit them googles again..

Add Ike Turner to the list. Freddie King, and Albert King.

I'll take your word for it, I'm not that interested. But how could you strip him of his title?

You were so disinterested, you googled? Gotcha. Anyways. I am not sure where I typed that's a goal of mine. All I know is, Elvis doesn't hold weight in the Black community as an artist or anything for that matter. But when he is brought up he is usually denounced as their are plenty of whites who revere Elvis as "The King of Rock and Roll."

In fact NPR had a segment on him this past Tues. Because, he has birthday of some shit coming up and they are now charging Graceland visitors who want to participate. All through the segment he was referred to as "The King of Rock and Roll".

I always found it weird how "The King of Rock" title was given to Elvis and "The King of Pop" for MJ when they should be vice versa. MJ was a fucking rockstar in every sense of the word and so was his artistry. The King of Pop should be given to Elvis, because lets face it - the guy was a great artist but he's overrated as fuck. Him being White in the 1950s+ and influenced by Black music was a great advantage due to racism and the country at the time. He's the definition of "popular music".

I never hear anybody call him this

And I work with all white people, imagine that.

I'm not saying that people are going around saying that out in the open nowadays.

But that's his title and it has been for about 50 years now.

They don't even refer to him and the king of rock n roll anymore. Just simply "The King"

And ask anyone who's the king of pop and rock.

Guaranteed they'll say MJ and Elvis.

Well, MJ is the king. I've always heard white ppl hold The Beatles or even Lennon himself higher *shrugs*

What thats southern blashpemy

Just because you started something don't make you the king.

Jay-Z is the king of hip hop

MJ is the king of Basketball.

And Elvis didn't invent it but he's probably the king of rock and roll

And you're wrong on all of them shits. Your preference to revere them as such. But doesn't make it true.

Well if u go by that Kurt is the king!!!

Y'all getting into dumbass arguments now. The king of rock and king of pop are not official, just titles their respective fans gave em. Elvis acknowledged his music being from blacks. If it wasn't Elvis, someone else would have done it. I'm not a fan of his music but I don't hate him either. I don't give a shit.
