its one tweet.

she didn't do an investigative documentary.

her tweet was the equivalent of yelling 'this shit fucked up!' out your window.

No, the fuck it wasn't. Don't be dense, nigga. Replace what she said with "This shit fucked up!" and ask yourself if the ramifications and the public condemnation would have been the same.

Smh. Are some of y'all completely oblivious to the way the world works?

Well, she does have sources that back up her claim. This year between OKC and the Cavs for their respective finals against Golden State has been the most watched NBA in the last few years.

Thursday's game brought in 16 million viewers. Almost double the audience of Jimmy Kimmel and almost 3x as much as Big Bang Theory.

They made $158 million in revenue from ads in a 5 game series last year. That's over 30 million a game. Why wouldn't they want to extend the series and collect more revenue?

And this has been the worst referee calls I've seen for an overall playoff year. From the first round up until now.

And Curry's 5th and 6th fouls should have been no calls. Please tell me how Lebron got knocked to the ground on that last one.

I agree that the officiating has been terrible, but why is this "rigged" shit not an issue until the Warriors are at a disadvantage?

Bruh, are you niggas understanding that she benefits from this "rigged" league and has NEVER thrown around these types of accusations when everything was hunky dory? I saw 2 questionable calls outta the 6 against Steph. 2, nigga. That's it.

That means that nigga fucked up on 4 other plays. Not to mention, all the points the Cavs converted off of HIS turnovers and his shitty decision making. He was a MAJOR part of why they lost.

I don't understand why it's so difficult to comprehend. Ain't no one being chauvinistic or saying she shouldn't have a platform to speak, it's that her rant was extremely hypocritical.

Uh, did you read the poll option in this very thread? That's exactly what some people are saying.

"She made a dumb comment" and "She should stay silent and not comment at all" are two different things. I agree with the former and disagree with the latter.

That's what SOME of yall aren't getting. And then you're strattling the fence saying "She should only say some things but not other things". Now you're trying to pick and choose what she can and cannot say like there aren't hundreds of millions of other opinions out there on the very same subject. I don't give a damn who she's married to, if she wants to emotionally react to the game, let her. Everyone else does. Ya'll look dumb as fuck trying to tell a stranger not to speak over the internet.

the bolded is incorrect

consider future negotiations.......most of the money made in the league is due to marketing

undermining a fan's perception of the sport ultimately hurts the NBA at the negotiating table

If thats the case then why is the east so bad? There have been teams in the east that made the playoffs with losing records.. the cavs lost literally 2 games before the finals if they are rigging the games why make one division competitive and the other not..

That's not what I'm saying, or even insinuating. I don't give a damn about those poll options. I'm using common sense and logic. And you ain't address shit else I posted. You zeroed in on that little segment and tried to move the goal post.

And none of that other shit you posted applies to my post either. She's being hypocritical and whiny and wreckless, is what it boils down to.

You're defending a woman who made a comment that the same NBA that she benefits from is rigged, ONLY BECAUSE HER HUSBAND LOST. Smh.

what does that have to do with fans being willing to spend their money on NBA related merchandise and watching NBA games?

If you want to ignore what this thread was actually about, that's on you.

Like I said, and you can read through the thread yourself, some people are saying that basketball wives should just stay quiet altogether. They don't care what she said, they care that she said anything at all. Like her status as a player's wife excludes her from publicly reacting to the game. Like her one little tweet is anymore significant than social media fodder.

Soon as Trump makes another speech or a police officer shoots someone in the back, no one will give a shit about Ayesha Curry's tweet. Why? Because it was one person's reaction out of millions of other people's reaction.

I understand you have a problem with what she said. I think it was a dumb comment too. But does everyone who has ever made a dumb comment deserve to be shut up forever? Of course not. And being married to a basketball player doesn't mean you can't comment on basketball.

Because of bandwagon fans... do you think all these golden state fans are real golden state fans? These are the same people who were Miami fans in 2012.. if you have better teams you sell more merchandise..

Btw what about last year the finals didnt go 7... or the year before that... it still isnt adding up..

The league had one of their own officials come out and say shit was fixed, and barely gave a fuck. Y'all really think they sweating an emotional Ayesha Curry?

Get real. This shit is such a non factor. Will be forgotten and done with by Sunday night.
