My friend is an accountant and she says you don't need to use any advanced math. She said that's a common misconception about accounting.

if you study accounting you dont have to just be an accountant per say if your skills are up to par you can be the controller that pays well

it's a possibility and not a bad idea. i had a friend who lived in japan for a couple years doing that but you're there for a certain amount of time. she was there right when that disastrous earthquake hit and she had to leave 2 weeks before that happened.
