Y'all negros hate anything black. This show was fun and different from beginning to end. I love the scenery of NYC in the fall and winter and this captures it beautifully. The characters are unique and all feed off each other. I loved the music and the bright colors also

You didn't say anything about the story...which is why ppl are saying they didn't like it. Foh with this "I watched on mute" ass analysis lol
 
Spike just made a series for the millennials: the social media generation. He harped on excessive gentrification in Brooklyn which was a noble thing to do: it's his hood. I also noticed Nola in the series was a cry baby compared to the one in the movie who was strong willed and more assertive with the men. Hardly shed a tear apart from the time she was raped

It's a good thing the movie was added recently to Netflix.... saw that and it's still a lovely debut. Looking at NYC through the 80s
