Not bad, happy for the black opportunities. Dope in a lot of areas, but some things were wack.

Shit fell all the way apart in the last episode.

Main character motivations were all over the place. Maybe that was intentional, but it ended up being plot speed bumps.

Delivering messages seemed to be more important than story.

Yea I'm not gonna lie I'm not really feeling the show...I'm only 3 eps deep but something is off. The movie incarnation of nola was more nuanced and balanced. The show version is whiny and unrealistic...and I don't like how they made the dude grabbing her the reason behind why she went to therapy. IIRC, in the movie she couldn't choose which dude she wanted to be with and the therapy helped her see the deeper issues behind why she was even keeping them niggas around in the first place. It was a natural progression...the show trying too hard to fit in a bunch of today's shit and feels forced.

I'll keep watching cuz I like the visuals a lot but the story is meh...
