But I think that's just a natural progression.

Women that get married young are more likely to choose a mate on more immature ideals of what a partner should be, while those that are older will usually will pick something that coincides with the reality of what only comes with life experience.

Again, I don't find that to be settling.

I wouldn't call that 'settling'. Maybe physical appearance isn't all that important to her. Or rather, maybe there are far more important things. If that is the case, it's a compromise. If a physical appearance is extremely important to her and she just said, 'Fuck it!', then yeah, she's settling.

Personally, physical appearance isn't at the top of my list for a woman. There are far more important things.

I'm having a debate with my friend. She recently met a man who she confessed to me she wasn't attracted to that looked liked a "ninja turtle". Next thing you know her and the turtle are together now. I asked her about it and she tells me "well he's really a nice guy and treats me good. I'm 27 and don't want to end up alone". I told her she was settling and she's telling me it's compromising. I'm wondering if this is a female thing? What do y'all think IC is she settling or compromising?

On the surface it seems like bird logic, but I commend her for being mature enough to no longer have unrealistic expectations and not choosing someone based on superficial reasons.
