So he thinks My Homies Part 2 is better than The Last of a Dying Breed??? My Homies Part 2 was basically a bullshit compilation thrown together by Rap-A-Lot and Scarface wasn't even on half of the tracks.
He basically dont like any of them
If you read the article he explains
I love Scarface as an artist but he's still as weird and emo as ever. I mean shit he don't like any of the Geto Boys albums and only likes like three of his solos?!? To me it sounds like he's coming off as almost an elitist on some "only three albums out of my entire discography are good so what's that say about the rest of these rapper's albums shit"
He basically said he likes
Fix
Diary
Made
Untouchable
Mr Scarface
and My Homies
...plus he already said he thinks Deeply Rooted is him on top of his game. So thats 7 albums. Then he said the others were either rushed or fake rap a lot releases.
And i actually agree that the Geto Boys have great songs but i cant play any Geto Boy album start to finish.
He seems genuine & critical of his own work. Not like an elitist to me.
I don't know how he could like My Homies as a whole, it's a chore to play that album from start to finish thanks to all the no names that were put on there by J. Prince to try to get them a buzz. Face was right about him trying to go the No Limit route with that album.
He said part 2 is the one JPrince put together with people he didnt know. He said those were RapALots homies not his.
I was talking about the first My Homies which is what I said, and yes it's hard to get through 30 something tracks with quite a few no names featured which Face even admitted J. Prince was trying to do to follow the No Limit formula, hell Master P was even on the album, yes it has some good-great tracks on it but the project as a whole was always super bland to me. And yes I know Face probably had more input into the original than the sequel but he's gonna act like F.L.A.J., Yukmouth, Master P, K.B., A-G-2-A-Ke, Do or Die, Tela, several generic R&B groups, etc. weren't there because J. Prince wanted them on the album to build the Rap-A-Lot brand. And let's not forget that horrible quality 2Pac freestlye they put on "Homies & Thugs" that even J. Prince realized was so terrible he just put the version with Face and Master P on Face's Greatest Hits.
