I picked up the phone other day and from a hardware standpoint it's the best phone I ever owned.
The good...
TouchWiz is much lighter now almost to the point its unrecognizable. It's snappy and moves fast. It is very smooth now and a far cry from when I got my GS3 back in 2012 which was lagging and freezing up right out of the box. I like the theme store Samsung has added too.
The battery life is the best I've ever had on a Android phone. Not iPhone 6 Plus good, but close. I've heard the Motorola phones have good battery life too, although I have not owned a Motorola since my old Moto Razor years ago.
I like the edge display although it's more of a niche feature than something that's really needed and most developers have not figured out how to take advantage of it.
The camara is nearly DSLR quality you won't find a smartphone with a better camara. Lots of things you can do to tweak it to your specifications too.
The bad....
I have still have a few gripes. Samsung's antennas are still garbage just like with my Note 4 and GS4 and GS3 I used before it. My S7 Edge constantly drops calls were my iPhone 6 Plus had service.
Samsungs fast charging is a gimmick that does not deliver it takes my my phone like 2 hours to charge on the stock charger longer than that using the charging pad. Takes the phone like an hour just to charge 40%. Smh
Samsung needs to offer a North American variant of the phone in the 64 or 128 GB variety. Yes, I know I can buy an SD card which I don't mind, but I like my stuff running what I need right out of the box without me having to go buy third-party accessories other than a phone case.
