NY has conscious rappers, crack-rappers, and battle-rappers but some regions lack certain types of rappers and you cant ignore that fact...look at the numbers.

No definately not the rappers who fit in the "trap music genre". Most Southerners have a different dialect,depending on what area you visit but that's doesn't mean we're all ignorant. We have all the above too, just like NY has a underground, we have one as well and you'd be surprised to see the how talented these artists are. That is where artist like Outkast, Goodie and Jay Elec come from.
