From Eisen's wife. Instagram won't let me post the pic for some reason.

"This is Rich and our dear friend Stuart Scott minutes after our wedding ceremony ended. Stuart was checking to see if the ring was real because he sat court side for the years at espn when I couldn't see the forest through the trees. He'd always shake his head at me and say, "can't you see how much he loves you?" He was Rich's champion at every turn both personally and professionally, and even used to call Rich his TV wife. He was kind. He was caring. He was a hell of a dancer. He was proud. And he had a way of making you feel like you were the most special person in the room no matter how bright the lights were around you. We will miss you, Stuart. Thank you. RIP"

Usually when someone dies I do not personally know, I say damn RIP and keep it pushin. But this right here SMH got me all teary eyed this morning when I watched SC or NFL Network.

As a black kid born in the 80's Stu was the voice of our generation in that forum. The way he integrated the black/hip hop culture into his craft made him relatable to us.

RIP TO TE GAWD! The best ESPN has ever had.

Watching Keyshawn Johnson almost got me though...

Sportscenter had one hell of a line up during the 90's (ESPN golden years)

Stuart Scott

Rich Eisen

Dan Patrick

Kenny Mayne

Scott Van Pelt

Charley Steiner

John Saunders

all could hold their own and deliver a sportscast and all had different styles and personalities

Salute to Stu he was my childhood. Him Marv Albert and Brent Musberger. I remember waking up at 6:30am to catch sportscenter when I was a shorty. Stu made highlights funny and great. R.I.P to a legend may be duplicated but never mastered or replace. Rest In Power

That Rich Eisen tribute broke me down if you didn't shed a tear Sunday after watching any of the tributes to Stu you are not human.

Word. Rest in peace to the legend.

It's dope though, I bet he never would've guessed that he'd receive this much love after his death.

Legend in my eyes man fought cancer and never once complained or played the victim card in any trials fighting cancer.

You can tell he was standup dude from all the love he's getting from athletes.

Watching SVP his One big thing was epic Him and Stuart rolled like Starsky and Hutch

Scott Van Pelt is a cool ass dude, drank a beer with him at the Tallahassee Airport the day after the Florida State - Maryland football game in 2007. Super cool guy.
