Paul Wall is damn near black as far as music and vernacular are concerned, and ICP are a little too left field for MAINSTREAM white America. Em actually fits the bill perfectly. He's an above average white rapper who raps about topics MOST whites in this country can relate to, its makes perfect sense why he'd be crowned the great white hope. Whites can feel comfortable touting Em against any black rapper because from a technical stand point(as in pure lyrical and emcee ability) he can stand toe to toe with just about any of them. But, and this a huge but(n/h), he lacks the ability to create soul driven tracks(Tears of Joy from Teflon Don or Devil in a New Dress from MBDTF). This is a huge reason why alotta blacks don't fuck with his music. And I'm well aware that Em has not won a Grammy for every album he's released, but I can almost guarantee you that every one of his albums hereafter will because hip-hop is in the wrong hands right now.
