15 minutes in and so far, by far the best episode this season.

"Why would rick and Morty want that?"

i thin because of the character development alone... thi was my favorite season..

like they knew they had lighting in a bottle with the first two seasons....and coulda kept going that mostly one and done direction.....

but they decided to switch it up a bit, build themes and storylines over epsiodes. bring some shit back, hint at other shit, and give each character time to shine...

it was a bold move, and they killed it in every single category.....

think about how many great shows tried that in their 3rd season and fell flat cuz of the pressure to be more commercial and appeal to a larger audience......

boondocks and chapelle show come to mind......

i feel like rick and morty took that shit and transitioned flawlessly....we still don't know what happens with phoenix person, evil morty, ans other shit...morty jr might come back...

but this episode had me laughing my ass off.....the shit with rick and the president was golden.....

also i think this episode was a wink to all the comic groups that be having those "Rick vs" questions......Rick is a fucking boss

That goes to show the genius of the creator. He totally gets the ridiculousness of American culture and doesn't take life as serious as most do. Kinda like the guys from south park

If anything, maybe because of Chapplle and Arron being black, they felt the pressure of havin to be leaders, or examples..and it lead to taking it all way too serious which subtracted from what they were doing

In Arron's case, deciding to prove points with Black Jesus and letting Cartoon Network have creative control.

Good read about the shows success this season. Apparently a lot of fans jumped on the bandwagon this year since Rick and Morty saw an 81% increase in audience from season 2.

when he slammed the table and shouted "that would prove their point" in regards to the drone strike....i swear its the little things in this show that get me.
