so friday night was her birthday i was gonna come pick her up but she told me she had her friend with her so i said cool ill meet you at the restaurant. we get there we taking sake bombs and everything is good. i have a gift for her waiting at my homeboy house do we get ready to go and i said lets go to his house and she like naw we gonna go to brandies house so ok cool just answer your phone when i call cause imma need directions. so mind you she cant handle her liquor well and brandie stays with her boyfriend and one of his friends is in town so im thinking i need to be there so no nigga cant try to pull some shit. well im calling her txting her and she is not answering at all so im buzzed up and angry so i send her a txt telling her its fucked up how she did me and out of anger trll her dont call me anymore which i didnt mean. the next day she calls me and tries to tell me her homegirl took her keys and phone and wouldn't give it to her which i dont believe and how im wrong for not trusting her and how she is done with me which is bullshit. I got way more stuff but i know you niggas aint gonna read

To answer the thread, I've found it's best to pick and choose my battles. Off the top, I ask myself is this something that's still going to bother me in a year's time. If the answer is no, I let it go and move on. If I get upset or irritated by every little thing, we will spend our entire relationship arguing. So gotta know when to hold em and when to fold. But if it is something I feel strongly about, I try (mind you I said try) not to address it the moment I think it because that's when anger is at its highest and things get said that don't need to be said, and it's counterproductive. I'll admit I don't always succeed but the more I try the better I get. It also helps greatly if you atleast make an attempt to see things from the other person's perspective. I'm not talking about opinions or thoughts because they don't know what you're thinking. But just looking at actual occurrences may lead you to say, "Well I can kind of see how this may have looked a certain way to that person." You don't have to agree with them, but atleast you have an idea why they feel how they feel and can deal with it more effectively that way.

Now I didn't read any of your other posts, but judging from this one ^^^, she's not someone you're going to want to continue with. Aside from the fact that it's obvious she bullshitted you, at this stage you guys are still supposed to be in the romance stage. I'm telling you if a woman is feeling a guy, she's going to want to spend her birthday with her guy above anyone else, including that friend of hers. She chose not to go with you not once, but twice. Something definitely wrong there. And then to top it off, that weak ass excuse is so transparent. Follow your first mind and let her be.
