Reddit Bans Forum For White Nationalists

That's why I never liked Reddit. Seems like a place for corny racists and lame coons.

I wanted to troll stormfront and piss them off, then post the transcripts on here.

But they won't let you join.

This is what I had always assumed. Plus it just looks difficult to navigate and follow along with any conversation

It's funny to me how he has never done this before. It doesn't feel genuine.

Again, according to the article, I don't think it was banned because of racism or white nationalism. It says that it was banned due to Reddit's "rules against posting personal information and online harassment."

They got banned for trying to dox the dude that punched Richard Spencer.

No clue, I only know he was the target because of a comment from a reddit admin.

I guess it depends where you go but Reddit is incredibly diverse and from I've seen mostly liberal, even in area I would frequent like hunting forums.

But yeah the confusing layout is all part of the charm, they like it cause they think it keeps the FB types out.

Assuming FB = Facebook? I'm not on there at all either. Besides this site I'm pretty much off the grid on social media. I guess Its also good for keeping out really washed 32 year olds, because I can't figure it out at all

I had no idea reddit was racist. I only browse the gaming forums and the mafia 3 forum for any news on updates.

Man it's plenty of racists on gaming forums. Ironically a lot of them are Nintendo fans or like Japanese games. Fucking idiots lol.

I'm confused. Either Reddit banned the forum because the forum contained "personal information and online harassment" or Reddit used that as a cover to ban the forum for promoting white nationalism.

If it's the former, then the fact that the forum promoted white nationalism might've been largely irrelevant. If it's the latter, then that's a coward move, and it should've outright banned the forum for promoting white nationalism. Either way, white nationalism wasn't the explicit issue.

It's a hollow victory anyway. They'll just go underground and either be more difficult to monitor or resurface at some other site. I'd prefer to see these white nationalist leaders discredited and humiliated out in the open.

Yeah, RELUCTANTLY.

"Coontown" made Stormfront look like a Dr. Khalid Muhammed speech.

.............but when the CEO of Reddit vowed to "clean the site up" for advertisers....they deleted a bunch of "offensive" sub-reddits - including FATPEOPLEHATE - yet left CoonTown up while talkin some ol bullshit about "oh we don't want to restrict free speech, you can't change hearts & minds by banning people, you should debate these people if you disagree with them!".

Like yeah okay. Mocking fat people is too cruel for your site, but this is acceptable after Charleston:

Half of the site was literally dedicated to celebrating news stories of black people and children dying (they had "High Score Leaderboards" of murder counts in black cities) but according to the Good™ white people in charge of Reddit, that didn't break their rules forbidding "Anything that incites harm or violence against an individual or group of people"

I was like Fuck Reddit Forever after that. The fact that they "changed their mind" a few months later is irrelevant to me. I hope their CEO catches AIDS.
