It wasn't.

Ray's boss wasn't mad at him because the deal fell through.

He was mad at Ray because he made a side deal with his daughter behind his back to get a 3% ownership stake in the team.

That whole scene with Ray and the priest is fucked up on multiple levels.

In particular, how there's an entire treatment center for those pedophile priests......but nothing for the kids that they molested.

Then on top of that, the priest ex-communicates Ray and his brothers......but doesn't do the same to the priests who abused them.

Those pedophiles are just running game because the Priest was telling Ray that the one who molested him and Bunchie was constantly repentant about what he had done to them.

However, that same priest was denying it to the end right up until before Ray shot him in the head.

Ray needs to go back to that center and do what Richard Harrow did on Boardwalk Empire...kill everyone in sight.
