Was he that good in college?

he was the go to perimeter scorer on the national champ. team and averaged around 17/game for his career and nearly 50% from the line. Most teams could not guard him and he probably would have scored well over 20/game on most every other team, but he was sharing shots with Felton and May. dude was a great college player

Cry me a fuckin river if this guy wants to continue playing ball he can ball internationally and still get paid or smile for these cracka's like he was suppose to do from day one. He had talent coming out of UNC and even showed flashes of it but its obvious he got character issues.

Thats a slap in the face for that Cavs organization. McCants isn't a starter in the league but I think he would make a very good back up shooting guard for some contending team. Heck he might even be able to compete for a starting spot for one of those bottom of the barrel teams.

Stern needs to work on fixing this star driven league and follow the mold the NFL has set where individuals cheer for teams instead of players. If it stays as it is the smaller market teams will very seldom compete with the New York, LA, Chicago, Miami, and Houston's of the league. The way things are set up those smaller market teams (Cavs, Bucks, T' Wolves, Raptors, etc) will never be able to attract big free agents unless they were drafted there.

Back in the 80-90s there were iconic athletes like Jordan, Magic, and Bird. These guys captivated the casual fan that wasn't even into basketball. That doesn't work now. The most talented players like Kobe, Bron, Wade, Durant, etc aren't as appealing to the casual fan who isn't into basketball like someone like myself is. If Stern offered some type of incentive for signing with these smaller market teams it might would attract some big name free agents to these smaller markets. As the league is now no big name players will ever want to go to those smaller market cities neither will the more mediocre ones as long as the league stays as instituted.
