lmao the cd came with the mag? benzino crazy

but yea jews and gays pretty much run the industry. eminem is prolly the only one that got away with the extreme gay bashing. how he did it? i don't know

He peformed with Elton John at the Grammys, and pretty much toned it down altogether. Plus he never said anything off record about gays that I know of, so they let him slide. Prolly the same reason black people let him slide with the N word shit.

Anybody besides me remember the reaction to Ice Cube's "Cave Bitch". They wanted to lynch that brother for that song.

lol they'll do that but something like that, but this when it comes to our women and its silent.

nobody justifying Ems actions. What he did was wrong, he apologized and got alot of backlash for it. Just because some of yall were too young to remember the situation and treating it like it just happened doesnt mean he should be exiled from hip hop.

Most of those artist actually forgave eminem and continued to work with him. Hes round black ppl like all the time b. yall niggas need to stop actin like bitches and start acting like mature men

I don't think he's a racist, I think he's said some shit he shouldn't have. It is embarrassing seeing so many people so "mad" about this and backpedaled almost immediately.

The fact that he "got away" with it speaks more to the weakness of Blackness in the music industry, more specifically in the rap market. When Prof. Griff got outta pocket saying anti-semetic remarks, them folks jumped all over it and got him bounced from Public Enemy.

The Anti-Defamation League of B'Nai B'Rith protested to CBS/Columbia Records, which distributes Public Enemy's albums. Walter Yetnikoff, head of CBS, fired off a memo to his underlings demanding they pay more attention to what their acts were saying with regard to matters of ethnicity. Jewish leaders nationwide roundly condemned Griff's remarks, the national media went wild, and even former allies cut and ran. For example, Russell Simmons, co-founder of Public Enemy's record label, reportedly dismissed Griff as "a racist stage prop."

Jews will one day realize that their ability to create mass protests and to expel people from jobs and force people into submission actually proves the "anti-semetic" person's point.

Back on topic: This is what happens when you don't control your own art and your own voice. Keep bragging about record sales, that shit just gives white folks more power over the industry and over black voices. Iovine makes a mint off Eminem, mostly from the white audience and half the niggas talking shit work for Iovine, hell some of them work for Eminem right now.

I will repeat that I don't think Eminem is racist though. He's no more racist for calling his black ex-girlfriend a nigger than Ice Cube was for calling white women cave bitches. Its all artistic expression. I just think its wack there weren't any mass movements to get dude dropped from the label.

iono why yall wait til now to "take a stand" hes not even at the peak of his career right now. if anything hes on his way out. Hes up there with jayz and nas. they drop records just for the hell of it. well nas needs the money now but still

Anybody know if Eminem is racist or not yet?

Terrible way to start out '13 yo. Good music is out there.

The friend of Eminem who helped The Source corroborate its claim that Eminem is a racist has written a letter to the magazine saying he was taken out of context and that he believes Marshall Mathers is not a racist.

The letter was written by Chaos Kid to Kim Osorio, the editor-in-chief of The Source, and was found posted on various online newsgroups.

Chaos Kid, a Detroit MC who is featured in The Source's February cover story, was Eminem's writing partner between 1988 and 1993 (see "Source Can Release Excerpts Of Eminem's Controversial Rap"). He is also described as one of the kids in a rap crew called Bassmint Productions to which Eminem belonged when he recorded a pair of controversial freestyles, which surfaced in November and found Eminem using offensive language toward black people. Though Chaos Kid says in the magazine that he opted out of the freestyle sessions, his interview is used to validate the magazine's contention that Eminem is a racist.

In his letter, Chaos Kid says his words were manipulated and facts contorted to fit The Source's motives. He writes to Osorio, "I am forced at this point to recognize that there are obviously some ulterior motives/personal hang-ups/political/racial agendas going on behind the scenes at The Source and this is making it impossible for you to present the issue of these tapes in a true light that would give a full spectrum of perspective."

Chaos explains that the freestyles were called "Suckerin' Rhymes," and that they were intentionally misguided. He says their purpose was to be as "goofy/stupid/ignorant/wack as possible." He accuses The Source of making some factual errors in its reporting and failing to give his quotes proper context.

He writes of his personal experiences with Eminem during that time and says that the famous rapper never used the N-word or "any other derogatory names or made any derogatory remarks about African-Americans in casual conversation with me. In fact, we personally had conversations talking about how we hated racism and racists and both had real songs denouncing racism!!"

Chaos Kid concludes by writing that, in his opinion, "Marshall Mathers is not a racist. Although the songs were in bad taste, they were not intended to be taken seriously or even heard and do not represent the true sentiments of Eminem."

Though Chaos Kid's words seem to support the generally accepted notion that Eminem's freestyles weren't pathological or even characteristic, they differ from the sentiments expressed in Eminem's own apology issued in December (see "Eminem Apologizes For Old Track That Dissed Black Women"). In a statement, Em said the offensive freestyles were motivated by a relationship with a girl gone awry and that they were written from a hurt, emotional and reactionary point of view.

Chaos Kid's letter asks for Osorio to publish a "Letter to the Editor" in the next issue of The Source to clarify his position or, he says, he'll be forced to tell "the truth" to other media outlets. Though the letter was addressed to Osorio, when reached for comment, the editor said she had no knowledge of receiving such a letter.

I honestly wouldn't care about this issue if people didn't make a big deal about other artist's personal lives. It's the hypocrisy that kills me. This is WORSE than anything any other artist did, as far as things that should end a rapper's career, or things to bitch about.

Dr. Dre threw Dee Barnes down a flight of stairs and the other 3 in NWA (Ice Cube had already left) backed him up

this thread would have been funny if h rap, gee and shady were still around.

i lost a lot of respect for eminem after this and not to mention that this was around the time that eminem's music started to decline.
