You guys are making revisionist history. Just because a song was hot in Hip Hop circles doesn't make it a "hit".

^^^^ Those were hits during an era when Top 40 stations generally didn't play rap music.

Ok, so we're talking only Top 40.....As I said before we need to eliminate most of the songs in this thread....

Well are we talking about songs that got a few burns on BET or songs that made the top 40?

Because I could pull up songs from the late 80s that nobody on this board has heard of that got played once on Rap City.
