I would differ on your religious assertion. Animals have religion too. Matter of fact, animals are more religious than human beings right know because they operate off of instinct and don't have the ability to change their enviroment all that much. All of us have the same religion because we come from the same source. It's just our functions are different. Go study an ant's daily routine and you will see a very religious creature. A rooster will crow every day at a precise time. That is religion. Black is not a man made concept. Black is our origin. It is not really a color, if you study chromatics, it is the essence out of which all color comes from. Yes intrinsically it doesn't tell me my make-up, but it is a part of me none the less.

The way you live your life and conduct your affairs is religion. I am not speaking in a dogmatic sense. Now there is bad religion and there is good religion. I never said color defines you. Nor does land mass. However, your nature and function does. What that is, is up for debate.

Well, we will just have to agree to disagree on this one. Although, I would like you to tell me what your definition of religion is, as well as what is this ONE source that we all come from.

Who's to say a black person didn't suggest that they compose it this way? I say that because I've heard people (some being on the IC) voice that they don't like being called African American, while others don't like being called black, while others don't make a big fuss about it. Black people can confuse the hell out of people sometimes, b/c different black people are offended or feel slighted by different things. it's not that big a deal if you ask me, but others will try hard to make a distinction between the terms or to discredit the validity of one over the other. So maybe it's necessary b/c different black people have different preferences with regard to the terminology.

Scince the secret black society called: The Boule waz started by white masons, to control black people, it showz even if it waz black people who said "there should b 3 different catagoriez of "Black" on the U.S. Census, it would still b white people who did this 2 cauze "division" of us, blacks.

this video is so true!!! It's almost like when you tell AA's you're African you almost have to brace yourself for the bullshit that will ensue....I had a similar experience with that this weekend and it REALLY bothered me.

I shouldn't have to feel more comfortable telling white people I'm African than telling my AA cousins.....lets wake up people.

that's crazy son. i always looked at africans in a higher regard because they knew their original language, their original history, their original culture, religion, and way of life. i'm just glad that as i grew older my mind hasn't been perverted like too many niggas i know.

malcolm had WAY more "swag" than obama son, real talk. his charisma is inspirational.

Not really a compare an contrast i accept malcom for what he brought to the table as well as others who sought to fight on our behalf

I agree, I was thinking about aproaching playmaker, and some of the other more concious posters here to start a thread where we just drop knowledge, and facts on all things Black History. I'm talking from the panther movement, to langston hughes poetry, to Marcus Garvey, Nat Turner.... and all. Just one thread where you can go to, too drop knowledge on the people that have impacted our History in every era.

We've had those.

They don't fair too well around these parts.

Social lounge Biosphere Kimi.. I the IC's hayday there were threads made by people who had a greater wealth of knowledge than me..

Thread examples

History in pictures
Black history in pictures .. all sorts of things that slip my mind. G&S is not the place to do it.. and Social Lounge doesnt get the amount of traffic as it use to. Im tryin though. If people watched this and were more aware. and had a mind that wasnt always stuck in the now, their The perspective on alot of the young IC heads.. shit as well as our youth community would change.. there has been a history disconnect.. Everybody has a sanitized/pigeonholed disney perspective of our history.

By American standards she would be considered a light skinned black woman.
