Sports has a skill set. A non debatable bar and standard one has to meet in order to be considered good. Music is subjective.

And no these white artists aren't being crowned goat off of skill cuz no one will either A) give the black artists a chance or B)be even aware of their existence. Only hardcore rock heads at the time knew that The Stones, Elvis, and everyone else were playing cover songs/based their styles off of pre existing black artists.
