In 84 if run dmc came on, everything stopped, then all they did was top it with the follow up, which changed hip hop from a fad into the force that it is today. RUN-DMC is the greatest for all intents and purpose. No one will ever be able to do what they did period. But for me EPMD is the greatest for me, Outkast is definetly top five duo wise. But the Green Eyed Monsta and the Mic Doc for me is the best overall IMO. Heltah Skeltah, Cocoa B's, Das-Efx, Tribe, De La, 8Ball and MJG, UGK there are so many, this argument could for centuries.

I always felt like they switched places on almost every album:

Southernplayalistic was a tie

ATLiens and Aquemini were Dre's albums

Stankonia was Big Boi's album

And since I'm more a fan of 3000 the rapper than the singer, I'll have to go with Speakerboxx

After that, Big Boi stop progressing as an MC and 3000 lapped his ass. They both dope, though.

3 Stax is a better rapper than Big Boi, but he's also a better rapper than 99% of rappers out today. That doesn't mean Big Boi's still not one of the best. But I have to say UGK is the greatest duo ever with 'Kast at a close second. I just feel like Pimp C's and Bun B's styles compliment each other better than any other rap group.
