I think you misunderstand or got the wrong idea about some of the theories they have out, its understandable cause you probably havent researched nearly half as close as I have so far so ill explain things a little better.
The theory doesnt propose that aliens are what created Earth or the things on it. Basically the big bang happened, we began to evolve from microorganisms over billions of years, like science stated. What they propose is that at some point during the process, People from another galaxy were hunting for gold because they had a depleted atmosphere and needed to create a shield around their planet. This is something scientist said with enough gold, enough money, and the cooperation of the World, we could do to ours to solve its depleting condition. The theorists say that when they got here and found gold, they needed a way to get it, they had machines but they also needed workers. Humans at that time werent very smart, this is shown through skulls that show certain areas of our brain werent there yet. They say other people wanted us to work for them, so they expieremented on us by adding pieces to us genetically, which again is something we are beggining to do now so its not sc-fi. Basically they needed slaves to do their work, which if we have done it throughout history to each other, why wouldnt they do it? Perhaps we worked in exchange for some of their knowledge (Masonry, Writing, Electric like the baghdad bombs). That and there are also some who believe the "angels" mating with humans were other people and the mixed offspring got the extra parts of the brain from it. So like im sayin it doesnt say we were created by them, animals were created by them none of that. It just says for their own purpose they advanced us to help them. The ancient alien theorists claim they collected DNA because they didnt want to wipe out what has happened on Earth because we would have no animals to eat, the animals from other planets may not be suitable for us because of the enviormental differences of another planet. They also could have stored DNA because they were also looking for other sources of food and would take them back to their planet to create food. The Ancient Aliens before this one really spoke on it alot.
I think John Wayne dropped like 3.3 million to try and pump the water out but there were so many tunnels breached through earlier excavations that they would have to seal those all up before pumping. Because so much was invested into it already and they still havent been able to get that extra 50 ft, people have just stopped investing, some are afraid to find out what it is, and Nova Scotia wont allow anyones government programs to try it. And yea all throughout time the AOC is claimed to hold the answers to the past, people throughout time also said alot if we were to find it and everyone know what is written, we wouldnt be able to handle it. Which is why I think it may point toward aliens, if it talked about a god I dont see why people would really have a hard time with it, thats the mainly "accepted" theory of how it all happened. So if its true and does exist and it is too much for most men to handle, something is up, I do however think now in modern times if it was something like Aliens, God really being the devil, we really being gods, etc... that we would handle it fine, some people who are deeply religious might die from heart attacks, but a good bit of us could accept it.
What I get from it was that Lot's wife was closer to the blast then its explained, she stopped and looked back, they dont say how far she was so if the Atomic bomb thing is right, she could have acually been hit with the blast. If you seen what happened to people in Japan, when the blast hits them, it turns the body and bone into ash basically. Its so hot and powerful you just disintegrate into a pile of ash. A salt pillar would be close to the color of the ashes so maybe thats where it comes from. They would have never seen it happen to someone like that, so perhaps they thought at the time, god turned her into a pillar of salt for looking back. They didnt have knowledge of what happened so they described it the best they could.
