the thing is.. There are 100000's of things to believe in, which clouds a person's judgement when it comes to christ...

But i wonder, why is it always people tryin to difute the word of god?... Like being a christian is like having a target on ya 4head...

If i said i was a buddist, niggas would be like, "ooh ok cool".. But if u mention jesus.. " how a nigga gone walk on water aint have no jet ski"...

Shyt is amazin

so what is actually factual that is written on the bible, that is not self contradictory.

If anything, I believe in the co-existence of Religion and Science. One in the same. The same as one. I've never understand why folks don't consider that.

I don't believe in any of the 200,000+ religions that have spread across the planet, though.

yeah i knowthey aint from greenland but that was just aint example.. And thats why i also say there time had to be not based on the 24/7 scale cause u had folks livign to be 800 years old back then.... I know the bible says the god will shorten the lifespan of man.
There's no proof of the bolded.

And since the Sun was used back then to determine the length of days, the days still would've been 24 hours long.

Sure, the Earth's rotation is slowing, but it's a very slow process, even at the time the Christian bible was written, its rotation would not have been significantly/noticeably faster.

Religion is a way of life. Some believe in God or people or sex or money or theories. Or maybe all of those.

I believe in God but I do believe in science. But believing in science is sometimes like following espn analysts...they say one thing then disprove it and say something else.

One day it'll all make sense....

c/s. I know of plenty of cats that believe in religion and science.

If there is a "god", he would most likely want you to believe in both.

Both science and religion revolve around ignorance. The difference, however, is that science is dedicated to eradicating ignorance, to uncover the truths of the universe, whereas religion enforces ignorance, as uncovering the truth of the universe would remove all sense of mystery and the supernatural, which is where their gods and deities reside.
If you can seek to fight ignorance, and yet also enjoy the mystery while it lasts, then yes, you can believe in both. Up to a point.

One of the best posts ive ever seen here..nail on the head!!

Also..incredible quote by fiat money on the front page..

I guess ill just freepost...the freethinkers here handled up real well!!

Its not a belief in science...there are experiments done to prove scientific laws and principles. You
Can actually at any time perform these experiments and prove to someone that doubts that what you say is true.

Science is fact...it is knowledge. People KNOW science, not believe in it.

Now can you plug in god for science in the above and it be realistic? FUCK NO!!!

Science =\= God...infact slowly but surely since the days of the illuminati movement science has been disproving "god" theories thats FACTUAL."God" has NEVER proved science wrong...in fact, science questions itself and proves ITSELF wrong..then learns, corrects, and gets better.

We can look arounf our rooms and actually see and feel the fruits of science, not god.

Science is knowledge, religion is willful ignorance.

I want to specify what I meant by this. IMO it's a possibility that religion could be the why and science is the how. If a god wants to strike you down with lightning, science is how he manipulates electric particles (or whatever) to do so. Most of nature serves a purpose, very similar to a cycle it seems. It would make sense that if a God created this universe, he would of used a system to do so (science). Especially, if he wanted to just sit back and watch the show.

Yes I don't see how you can have one without the other and be honest with yourself, if science is the study of the world around us then how can it be seen as a negative? If God is the source of Truth and science is the study of Truth then shouldn't they go hand in hand? If your religion disagrees with a well known scientifically proven fact then maybe you should rethink the religion and not have a problem with the evidence put forward

See.. u cant take two nothings and make something....

Gases are "somethings".. if there was no God... no creator, there would be no air, helium, gases..etc

god is "something"... who created "him"

ok...

Reading the bible... Were there 24 hours in a day?.. Who knows. More than likely, no.. So the time table of the age of the earth will be completely off...

a day is measured by the rotation of the earth. therefore it has always been roughly 24 hours.

dude get outta here.. If there is something, somewhere, somehow.. It got there some way!... It didnt just magically make up no gases and all this other stuff.. U cant just make a cake with no recipes...

but that's exactly what you think about god. just magically appeared and made shit

PUPU_IZ_DRO;2845829 said:
so if a theory hold ground, meaning that its true.. Why is it, do they still call it a theory?..

Ya know why, cause they only think its true.. They cant 100% prove it.. Its just somehting they calculated and felt was right... The blind leading the blind

ironic

PUPU_IZ_DRO;2845931[B said:
]experiement means to test and to attempt to find the result u want.. Therefore its still a theory...cause u dont know the outcome[/B]

scientist want to be god...just like dude in the wheel chair u was talkin bout earlier.. Since he is so smart, tell him to cure hisself...

no... the result is the result. so you do know the outcome. it may or may not be what you wanted but it is known

PUPU_IZ_DRO;2845972 said:
..and who said in biblical times that it actually took that long between the sun setting on two different days?..

U go to green land and they have like 6months of straight night time... So once again, you can account for there days and howthey where back then

the earth's rotation lasted 24 hours. that cycle is a day. and they werent in greenland, they were over in the middle east somewhere, and most certainly did not have 6 months of night
