when your raised in a family where money doesn't rule your world....you don't need millions over an education, thats what wrong with most in America now...Greed.

Da fuck are you talking about? Your acting like he can't go back and get his degree like countless other pro athletes. This shit is stupid, I don't care if your a fucking millionaire. It's about one opportunity having a very small window and one that's wide wide open.

because he was criticized when he went back for his 4th year...i think niggas missin the main point though about money, he doesn't come from that mentality of oh i could make 50 million as opposed to some other number if his stock dropped. Most of us ain't really came from much compared to him. so niggas worried about money. His father was also an NFL QB and is also an AD at West Virginia, who knows what type of money he comes from. he's fine with or without football. everybody don't need millions out here.

lol my nigga you (and 90% of the other posters) are proving his point in so many ways. NO. He cannot miss a year of school and jump right back in. Y'all Negroes be killing me. He's not a communications major/sports management/parks and recreation major. That man has a plan beside football. Because he doesn't want to be like Dequan Jackson (made up black name) who placed his future in going to a big named SEC school only to live out his dream for 4 years and become a free agent doormat for NFL teams in the future. Or to go work on the railroad after getting cut by the Jets. Oh yeah, what is Matt Leinart doing right now? Hmmm.....

"The physical skill is obvious, but so are the smarts. Luck was his class valedictorian and plans to major in architectural design. He could have played for a lot of big-time programs, but he was eyeballing Stanford even before the school was on to him."Stanford was the school I wanted to go to all along," he said. "I talked to a lot of people during the recruiting process, and a tip that seemed to recur was, 'Imagine yourself at a school where you can't play football anymore and go to that school.' Stanford is definitely the place for that. If you get injured, a Stanford degree is worth its weight in gold."

Actually, gold should be so valuable. An undergraduate year of tuition and room and board at Stanford with no financial aid costs nearly $49,000."

Yes he could've gone #1, yes he could've made a ridiculously undeserved Sam Bradford contract....BUT HE WANTS TO WIN! Y'all finally have an athlete that cares about his craft over his dough and you niggas criticize him for it. When will y'all be satisfied.

the moral of the story....Andrew Luck could give less of a fuck bout money, more to life than that. more people knew it, the better off we'd be out here.

I don't see a problem with his decision..

some people value different things in life, Luck wanted a degree from Stanford.. His family obviously has money, so he's not hurtin in that respect..

And he's a junior, why does he need to fast track his life, man...go back to school and have fun, the NFL will be there when he's ready.

The NFL is a job like any other job..

So? What do they have to do with him? Th possibility of him getting injured or dropping far in the draft is a very real one just because it didn't happen to those guys doesn't mean it won't happen to him.
