Logical thing now would be to trade the pick but y would anyone want it if Luck isn't there...AJ or Fairley shud be the pick now but smh at paying a WR that much money...

Im confused? Carolina been bad for like 2 years...nggas act like they the Lions or some shyt

But my reaction is based on one thing, and if someone knows FOR SURE, answer this:

Does the CBA go into effect w/ this draft, or with next year's?

B/c if it goes into effect this year, this isnt THAT big a deal. He is only a rSO...

If it goes into effect next year, it's an irresponsible decision. A degree, when you have the time, money, and resources of an NFL player, is purely symbolic at this point.

Contrary to popular belief, nfl players have a shyt load of down time in the off season, even with workouts. That degree aint goin nowhere.

and that the fact there are a lot of WR's in the draft anyways , hell productive WR's arent as hard to come by so i co-sign that one , im not taking a WR that high ...

just go Defense or Lineman, they showed the Ratio Of Lineman that are drafted in the first round compared to skill positions and the Linemen start way more games in their careers..

and like u said its gonna be hard to float that pick out there for a trade cuz people just wanted Luck but he's not there anymore

carolina drafted 3 wr's last year in Brandon Lafail, David Gettis, and Armanti Edwards....Gettis and Lafell had significant playing time and showed that they can play in the NFL. And if they keep smith around another year, I have a hard time believing they would draft a WR high. I wouldn't be upset if they did, but it just doesn't strike me as something that they would do

There's Just Way to Many WR's in the League now that Are Very Very Productive that aren't 1st Round Picks that show me that i dont have to do that if im a GM .....i would only take them if everything else is pretty solid but im hurting THAT bad at WR.....but way too many Non 1st Round Picks in the NFL that are really good that show me that you really dont have to Reach for a WR in the 1st Round...

I agree on not taking a WR at 1 but if AJ does his thing at the combine he is the best player in the draft...some ppl (not me) think he is a calvin johnson type prospect coming in...either way he is a top 3 pick guaranteed...the problem is the really arent any standout linemen either in this draft...I guess Bowers or Fairley goin first

word. of all the wr's in this upcoming draft, there's no way all of them will get pick in the first round anyway.

Dequan Bowers has had One Good Year he wont go Number 1 overall , he's a top 10 Pick most likely but he's not worth a #1 , he's got questions about him right now, he was a Flat out Bust his first two years at Clemson and all of a sudden during his draft year he loses weight and finally shows why he was rated the #1 player coming out of HS , so is he in Shape cuz it's his Draft year and wants the money? or in Shape cuz he loves the game like that??

Someone said it best in another thread it comes off as that Average player who has a Great All-Star year cuz he knows it's his free-Agent year and once he signs a huge contract he goes back to his average ways....

What an idiot...his signing bonus alone will be worth more than whatever 9-5 he'll end up with if he gets injured.

Just look in the NFL now of Productive WR's that aint First Round Picks:

Desean Jackson

Brandon Marshall

Miles Austin

Steve Smith (Panthers)

Steve Smith (Giants)

Mike Wallace

Wes Welker

Mike Williams (Bucs Potential rookie of the year)

Anquan Boldin

Chad Ochocinco

Terrell Owens

Vincent Jackson

Greg jennings

Roddy White

Sidney Rice

Marques Colston

and those are just the stand Outs, i didnt even name the once that Contribute in a major way

Thats just why i believe in Drafting Linemen ,Focus on Defense, or if the QB is that Good then take him....WR would usually always be last on my list of what to draft...that position isnt that hard to fix if you're smart about drafting and have good scouting..

Is Floyd coming out? yea the are plenty of good receivers in this draft but Aj is the best one...Blackmon Baldwin and Julio could also go first round but i doubt all 3 will...I agree with picking a lineman though and also agree on Bowers for all we know he could be Gholston over again but he is a legit talent and he is gonna wow ppl at his workouts and end up being a top 5 pick...Kiper is about to push Mallett hard for that #1 pick watch

i think floyd is coming out. IMO, i don't think AJ is the best wr. you can make a case for those other wr's.
