Based on 4 years of greatness (95-99) compared to almost a decade and a half of mediocrity and borderline trash, all I can say is get all the way the fuck outta here. P was great at one point, and I understand everyone falls off, but P's fall from grace actually cancels out the few years he was good.

I'll give you Rakim and Kane because although they didn't make classic music like in the 80's their rhyming skills are still sharp.
Ghostface and Raekwon both fell off but not that much.

Nobody is on the level they were on in the 90's. That's my point. Only thing people can say to discredit P is they don't fuck with his shit from the 2000's when most rappers fell off. Biggie and Pac didn't even have the chance to fall off. Lupe fell off but that doesn't discredit what he did. Jay-Z been fell off over a decade ago but he's still in my top 10.

I agree early P will always be in my top 15, but its been more than a couple years that he fell off, I cant listen to any of his shit since Amerikas nightmare but even on that album he was pretty lackluster, honestly hes been falling off since 01-02, but Jay said it himself there was a time span where P was one of the best doing it, and that time alone I still appreciate and keep him in my top 15 top 10 arguably, so many features he was killing in them days too

One, I don't like Jay and any of the dumbass shit he says. But I can't deny that's he's dope. Even his "wack" shit takes some skill to make. And again, I don't even like Jay like that, especially recently. P was one of my favorite rappers at one point, especially in the late 90s. But he wasn't even top 5 in NY in his prime when half the Wu was shittin on him skillwise (Mef, Ghost, Rae, GZA, Deck). Then on top of that he's gotta be tied with Norega for the biggest fall off in hip hop history. That nigga flow has been ass since 2001. Infamy, terrible. America's Nightmare, the beats saved it. Bloody Money, ha! ROTM is my shit, but let's face it, Alchemist was the star of that album. Call it harsh judging, but no, P isn't top 15. Especially after all the potential he's wasted. Nigga was soundin 48 at 28.
