Yes.

Simply put, most large scale countries like the U.S. & EU can't find the growth it needs internally anymore. Some countries have an abundance of or certain resources other countries need. Globalization & trade is the reason why America will continue to be the number superpower for many more generations (though China could surpass them by 2050). You can however make a counter argument in the event of economic downturns where some countries may "downsize" and impose certain sanctions (remember 'Buy American' ?). However, even then you can't reverse it entirely, as your population grows and industries expand it'll be more profitable to go global.

I've always found it funny how the board has hundreds of male posters who get along pretty well (banter and that is just what males do ain't nothing personal).

Yet there's like 10 females on the board and they play nice for the most part but as soon as a single shot is fired by a female they all start going in on each other.... Then tuck the hatred away for another few months.
