As an overall artist yes Pimp was better than Jay. I cut for the Pimp just as much as any nigga from the lone star but as a rapper lyrically Pimp aint even on the same planet as Jay. If you comparing rappers Bun and Jay is a far better comparison.

Because its based on a technicality. Its as if one were to say, Bo Jackson was a better overall athlete than Peyton Manning, because he played and excelled at Baseball, Track and Football. Yes, he was a better overall athlete,I don't think that can be debated, but who was the better player? Manning of course. Same here, Pimp was technically a better artist, but Jay is the better rapper, by far.
