Do they have officers on their planes like we have US Marshals etc?

Nope and not even all American flights have Marshalls on them, gotta have a certain number of passengers to have a Marshall on board

Could a Marshall have really helped in this particular situation tho?

Cmon man yall have common sense. NO Lol Of course not.

Get rid of these stupid bomb proof locking cockpit doors, they were a kneejerk reaction. Let some jacka$$ try to take over with current pax mentality, he would get stomped out instantly. This isn't even the first time this has happened.

@CP203

where you at battle?

opinion?

Smh man we gotta thru training again and pilots always bring it up that its stupid as fuck for the override code to be on the inside of the cockpit, and Europe doesn't follow the same regulations as the FAA, so now its a bunch of classes and training for American pilots flying European routes, and it sounds like the pilot killed everyone

Can u break down the door?

really...

It doesnt work like that. You need to have standardized procedures and metrics and documentd steps and contigency plans and etc, etc, etc.

You do not include in the SOPs 'well if anything happens people will just stomp him out'.

After 9/11 cockpit doors were reinforced with various metals

Speaking of kneejerk reactions, nggas gotta realize what u saying here. Basically

'Man, we need to figure out a way to override and get in that cockpit.' Really?

Pilots been saying that, what's the point of having the override code inside the cockpit, and basically not just for this but if one pilot has a medical emergency in the cockpit while the other is out what then

From what i heard on the news in the states its mandatory 2 people are in the cockpit at all times? If you go to the bathroom the stewardess has to fill in for you in the cockpit? Europe has no such rule/procuderes.

No Europe doesn't, they don't have to follow faa guidelines, and that's what American pilots that fly European routes have been complaining about forever

I think dude had just been dumped by his girl before the flight , white folks always kill when they in their feelings...

he shouldve just off'd himself and left them folks alone...

shit is sad.

but im more suprised that in 2015 plane design in not advance enough to try and prevent Total Pessenger KOs

there should be a 2 shell design of some kind that can withstand impact by now....

Brah do you know how physics works?

don't try to be a smart dumb nigga

there are materials that can withstand impact and compression, I'm just asking to see if it can be applied or adapted to aviation.

The answer is still no nigga

Just get rid of pilot control and let machines fly the plane the pilot should only be there in case of malfunction.

On the news they said it was a soccer team that was posed to be on that flight, but they switched plans.. kinda like "Final Destination"

but dude set the autopilot to 100ft smh, wtf
