Phonte rhymes solid on this album, but the beats are only meh and some of the nsongs, even with dope lyrics, don`t add up to be spectacular. But it is solid throughout and Phonte shows up to rhyme. Better than the last Little Brother album. Too early for a final rating yet but will probably hover around 3.5.

I actually bought, not downloaded but bought the chitlin circuit and the minstrel show.....why am I just now finding out about this album???

We as fans gotta get the word out better and at the same time artist gotta promote better too

I admit, I'd prefer a different group name and Nicolay all over it, similar to Time:Line that he did with Kay.

Anyways, I'm half way through; enjoying it thus far, but my favourite is 'The Good Fight', the lines on that stray the track away from its cliche underground complain track. Very nice, I admit the rest hasn't blown me away as yet, don't think this is going to come close to touching Oneirology and that said, I suppose this is what Phonte meant when he said it wouldn't be for everyone…

But I'm going to give this a few listens, enjoying it so far :tu

Great to see this thread growing in popularity, definitely a great album after hearing it and it seems critics are giving him his dues as well; 4.5/5 at HipHopDX. Great score for a site that normally undercuts their reviews greatly.
