It's you bum ass fans that keep changing the requirements of the genre to fit your ideals, that's the reason shit is fucked like the way it is. The rules were put in place to keep niggas like Drake out in the first damn place. He's winning because he didn't hafta follow the guidelines that were put there in the first place.
I understand and endorse the genre growing, but some rules had a legitimate purpose to them. When I hear "Drake", I don't think of him as a singularity, it's "Drake and Co.", which is obviously counterproductive to the grassroots origin of the genre.
