but drake still got roasted in the battle.....
to me he's 0-4
common killt him with that canada dry line....stay skeeming verse did not do it for me
meek brought to light that drake is that nigga to pee on, revealed his reference tracks, and joked him for getting smacked by diddy
diddy put hands on him......that calabasas song does nothing for me....
joe roasted him for like 3 songs now.....no response except that bullshit he said at his concert...
and in each case it's his twitter following that softens those blows for him......no rapper before the blowing up of twitter would have survived these assaults on their career...
Clearly anything Drake does on wax does nothing for you. Truth is he bodied Meek on track and was able to stand a lyrical beating by Common and remained competitive... You can´t even call this one diss battle, cuz he ain´t even responding to Joe, apart from a few subs or lines on that French record, and those ´´am tracks´´ he always goes in, so continue in denial or hating, it still going be what its going be.
Your opinion or hate won´t influence those that support dude as he been running the charts for over the past 2 months now...carry on tho
drake can rap his ass off, but when it comes to real life confrontation, he's repeatedly exposed as not that guy
you can't rap your way outta being pissed on, or smacked, or having reference tracks....
and you can't flat out ignore a nigga shitting on you with 3 damn songs...talking bot you working on a mixtape.....fuck that...if you can drop back 2 back disses on a nigga, you damn sure better be able to drop a response after a nigga drop 3 shits on your head....
Yall real selective when yall trying to discredit rappers you don´t like, Jay managed to avoid Jayo Felony´s s disses and countless others that have dissed him, 50 cent also avoid the barrage from Yukmouth, domination and countless others who have even dedicated whole mixtapes to him, so that bullshit don´t wash.
In respects to you talking about getting pissed or smacked or any of that shit, I don´t think Drake has marketed himself as a gangsta rapper nor try to come across as a gangsta, nor have I seen a video of these incidents, even if there were footage, I don´t see what that gotta do with music, yall make the mistake thinking everyone gotta abide by some sort of fictious ´code´, most ppl thathave their own lives, don´t give a fuck about any of that trivial shit, at the end of the day, all they got is the music that is put out.
Drake =/= Jay, 50. They came up battling with other niggas and solidified their spots. They earned their right to be selective on whom they choose to ignore. Drake has never earned that right, so stop putting him their category. He doesn't deserve to be there.
And Jay addressed Jayo Felony, you genius. "Jayo you're not a felon, you're a misdemeanor." At least fact check before you put your idiocy on full display.
50 and Jay came up in different eras, where that was required to come up, it was part of the grind, still fif didn´t come up battling no one, he came up by dissing ppl to garner attention, that was his whole formula, so take your own advice and do some fact checking yourself, you smart dumb mofo.
Again, missing the point, Jayo made full disses, just like Buddens and going by that same logic, Drake addressed Buddens, "pump pump pump it up´´ + the one hit wonder line, point in case.
smh
It's you bum ass fans that keep changing the requirements of the genre to fit your ideals, that's the reason shit is fucked like the way it is. The rules were put in place to keep niggas like Drake out in the first damn place. He's winning because he didn't hafta follow the guidelines that were put there in the first place.
I understand and endorse the genre growing, but some rules had a legitimate purpose to them. When I hear "Drake", I don't think of him as a singularity, it's "Drake and Co.", which is obviously counterproductive to the grassroots origin of the genre.
Social media, casual fans, hipsters, thot bitches shouldn't have the voice they have in hip-hop.
And 50 didn't go at the entire NY network? I'm pretty sure he did. Pretty sure that's battling on wax.
lmaooo@ this emotional dumb ass, that can´t fathom that eras change and things evolve (wether it be for the negative or positive, that is debatable), and trying to dictate to all what hiphop should be smh, hiphop is an artform, and just like any other form of art is due to each ones interpretation!
Before Pac showed how successful beefing on wax could be from a commercial and business standpoint, nigga wasnt using it as a tool to gain attention and increase sales, yet that was fif´s whole formula that is why he dissed the entire NY, no other legit reason to call out all those names, unless it was murder inc, and you trying to excuse his actions?smh, what a dickrider.
Just like the founders of hip hop, ushered in the genre through mc´ing, djing, graffiti, break dancing and break beats, is that how most of the famous rappers today got on???? NO, because the landscape changed, smh@ yall dummies that can´t figure this out and trapped in the past, now you have youtube and technology, and that all has an effect on how ppl get on today.
