Ya Bilfiger, you're starting to look stupid. I'm not tryna be mean or anything. But you've been listing skills way too much, and it's been explained way too many times.

The NFL side isn't talkin about how if you put a NBA player at QB, he wouldn't be able to place the ball perfectly over the shoulder of a WR runnin a go route 50 yards downfield, while a D-Lineman is comin at himfull speed. Cuz that's a sport-specific SKILL.

so you're saying that these cats have no athletic ability just "skills" what fucking sense does that make?

1st things first...did you read the Blake Griffin/AP stuff I posted?

Next, no I'm not saying that doesn't take athleticism. I'm sayin you can't say because NFL Player A can't make a 15 ft turnaround jumper, that he isn't athletic. Cuz making jumpers is a basketball specific SKILL-SET. Just like in the example I just posted. I'm not sayin because NBA Player A can't make that pass that he isn't athletic. Because that pass is a football specific SKILL-SET. This thread asked which sport has the best ATHLETES. So those sport-specific-skills aren't valid arguments.

I used Lebron as an example earlier in the thread. We can all agree he's very athletic. But does his trouble making free throws make him less athletic? NO. Just like Dirk's excellent FT % doesn't make him any MORE athletic. Those are just SKILL-SETS

You exposing ya self you never hooped and its clear u dont know nothin about basketball

Shooting a Fadeaway takes athletic ability forget makin the shot

JUST SHOOTING the damn shot takes athletic ability

Dunking a basketball takes mad athletic ability

Like I said I played both sports not at no pro levels or even close ,and basketball takes more athletic ability period

Nfl fans are like pac fans for real

no billfiger based on their logic jumping up to dunk doesn't take athletic ability it's just "skills"

No you're not. Because we posted the vert scores and NFL players had better results. We posted the running scored and NFL players had better results.

What else do you want us to put up that we can end this argument? All y'all keep talking about is sport specific skills.

Ya man, ya'll really AREN'T reading. Dunking does take athetlic ability (although bein damn near 7' tall helps). But I'm sayin you can't talk about makin a 20 ft jumper, and say that's not a basketball specific skill set.

Exactly

5'11-6'0 allen iverson tip dunking are "skills" not athletic ability

These are "skills"

A nigga the same height as me tip dunking off a miss requires no athletic ability whatsoever

running a slant between a zone doesn't require athletic ability?

We're sayin NFL players are MORE athletic. Not NBA players ARENT' athletes. You're arguing a different point (that NBA players are athletes, which isn't being deniedd). OK, Iverson's short and dunked. We JUST posted the vertical numbers, and the NFL players came out ahead.

dunk hi-lights? Bragging that a 6'10 player, can dunk on a 7 footer better than a 6'1 player. I know we've posted athletic facts that apply to sports in general (speed, strength, agility), and they've posted basketball specific abilities.

And I wanna go back and say again, cuz I find it hilarious. A decent number of these NBA players struggle with 185 lbs on the bench. They'd go to high school weight rooms around the country, and get showed up. THESE ARE THE NIGGAS WE CALL MORE ATHLETIC?!?!

the average nfl player is not more athletic than the average nba player. i dont want to compare 300 pound linemen to 215 pound nba players to prove a point. the nfl as a whole does not have more athletic players.

what does that mean....nigga there are 52 players on an nfl roster compared to 12(?) on an NBA

you've just skewed the argument to favor you based on sheer proportion alone

you seem to forget that 2/5ths of your league is composed of PF and Centers who struggle to run up and down the court with knee problems. I'd easily take my set of offensive lineman vs your PF/Centers in terms of athleticism. That's a no brainer.

You have to compare them to those lineman to have even close to a chance of being right. Here's what's annoying man. You're just TALKING. I could sit here all day and say golfers are the most athletic people on earth. Then I could post videos of hole-in-ones, and long putts, and say NBA players can't do that.

WE'VE GIVEN YOU FACTS AND STATS SHOWING WHO'S FASTER, JUMPS HIGHER, AND IS STRONGER. (The motto for the damn olympics, if you don't think those are good things to measure athletes by). Ya'll have basically given me "Golfers are the best athletes. Hole-in-one, long drives, long putts" back as a response.

they don't hear you though....i was trying to find the high school combine numbers but was struggling. I know for a fact high schoolers have better bench #'s.
