35 inch vert is HS is really damn good. Calvin Johnson had a 34, AJ Green had a 32, and Julio had a 40 inch vert in HS. In college for Football, they would train you at those things. In Basketball, we worked on skill, plays, conditioning and coordination.

It was a type and you're missing the point. You're conveniently missing the point.

If you can't catch, you're not seeing the field.

If your 40 time is higher than a 4.6 you're not seeing the field.

If you can't seperate from a defender you're not seeing the field.

I don't see how we'd truly know. NFL players run and jump and have their speed and agility tested all the time just as NBA players do. The main difference is that NBA players don't take physical punishment comparable to what NFL players go through.

show me the NBA player speed and agility records

There's exceptions and variables to every sport

Not everyone in the NBA are athletic some people are just specialist at certain things example 3point shooters that can't do anything else

Bilfiger owned this argument hands down. This aint about speed or strength its about overall athleticism.

NBA has better athletes pure and simple.

Owens,Gonzalez,McNabb,Gates,Peppers who are all pro in football were average at best basketball players.

Matter of fact AI was rated higher than Vick in high school football and thats a known fact.

You guys act like everyone in the NFL is running 4.2s and and jumping with 42 inch verts. And not everyone in the nba has 7ft wingspan and can jump out of a gym. Both have athletic beast and both bums.

PS: Lebron James and kobe in his prime would put to shame every NFL db,wr,rb in any athletic test

That's bullshit. Most college WR's run 4.6-4.8 range. Some have hands of brick but can block well in a run scheme and some schemes are known for creating separation. In fact, I have buddies who played College Football who never played WR move there and was the most talent at top tier schools. You are BS'in. Not everyone is Moss. Only a few are that talented.

Wilt Chamberlain was said to be one of the most gifted players who tried out for a NFL team but choose otherwise because he wanted to be QB. Lebron James was a Parade AA WR as a Soph. He was 6'8 225 at that time which is mindblowing at that position.

I may nominate this to the dumb things people say in the cheap seats thread too

Ya'll are goin in on lineman, but the only think they lack is POSSIBLY endurance. They're strong, they're fast....what exactly discounts them as legit athletes?

The fact that you didn't see ANY of my posts means u haven't really been readin. So how do you figure Bilfiger dominated the debate?

Between the 2 leagues, different athletic traits are desired.

NBA - Height, speed, jumping ability, endurance, hand/eye coordination, and vision are desired traits

NFL - Different positions require different athletic traits. QB - Vision, RB - Speed, Strength, Agility, WR - Speed, Agility, Hand/Eye, Linemen - Girth, Strength, Balance.

Notices that everyone agrees that MLB has the worst athletes...

Offensive and defensive lineman+ fullbacks+ kickers+punter and tight ends make up at least 60% of the league

Qb's are not athletes only the black qb's are, word to Big ben,Brady, manning, carson palmer, joe flacco who are all cracka stiffs

all rb's are not athletes michael turner is a fat boy wit speed

Nba destroys these niggas athletically

Nate robinson could go to the nfl and be a cb in the nba he a backup

Lineman are athletic. You don't think so because you base athleticism almost entirely on endurance

but still tim tebow is more athletic than jimmer or jj reddick
