Anybody stupid enough to make a 400M commitment to Soulja doesnt have alot of business sense and their business probably will go belly up soon. Most likely scenerio this is a fucking publicity stunt by this company, they getting mad press and probably threw Soulja a cpl M's.
I didn't want to be the one to say it, but @TheRecipe hit the nail on the head.
Of all the rappers out there, why would you invest 400M in Soulja Boy?
Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, J Cole, Kendrick, Kanye, Rick Ross and Nas would all be better, more sound investments imo.
I'd invest 400M in Ghostface before Soulja Boy
or The Roots.
Question for the younger heads; Is Soulja Boy really that popular?
They using him basically as a billboard to advertise with his online followers....none of them have a online presence like him

@sion
Could be a holding company but then it's
investments in "x" company would be high
Hhmm the company is only worth $7 million, essentially Soulja Boy could buy them himself. They don't have $400M liquid anywhere so this must be a deal dependent on what they generate working together on this new venture.
As long as Soulja Boy is fully aware of the circumstances and what type of deal he's going into he should be fine. I wonder how much money Soulja Boy invested.
@MarcusGarvey we were right

But World Poker Fund spokesperson Matthew Bird clarified that his company is only worth $51.8 million at this point, and that Soulja’s deal is based on equity in the WPF, and a very aggressive future valuation of the company.
[Soulja Boy] really kind of jumped the gun. The deal is capped at $400 million, and it’s based on a forward-thinking valuation of the company. He’s young, he’s 25-years old. He got really excited, and he tweeted something he probably shouldn’t have tweeted. He was getting a lot of pressure from within the entertainment community, so he wanted to put a statement out. Obviously, the company’s market cap is at $51.8 million. There’s no way they could cut a $400 million deal. Endorsement deals are calculated on a lot of different factors. This is not a fully cash transaction,” Bird explains.
