First week sales can really be deceptive but an eye opener too ...question is where are the consumers that bought The carter 3 and made it platinum in a week.Was it a case of universal buying its own product to enhance sales ? ....Bullshit. Rich and Successful black isn't anything new and there have been people that got there through more important avenues than Rap Music. What's so aspirational about listening to niggas brag about what THEY have and what THEY like to buy with their abundance of money? When they talk about the pressures they faced, the hustle that got them there, the people they had to leave behind in order to progress....THOSE are the types of themes the average nigga can find a common ground with. But all this "black cars, Black cards, trips to Paris" shit is the equivalent of a nigga watchin Scrooge Mcduck swim around in gold coins. What are you really gaining and how to you find a personal connection with the END RESULT of flashiness and excess that you haven't and probably never will experience? We all know Kanye and Jay are at the high end of the spectrum when it comes to their financials. We can understand that from the forbes list and various media outlets that talk about these guys sales and business ventures as well as commercial success. This album didn't suddenly turn light bulbs on over niggas heads. Let's stop making these dumb ass, broad conclusions on to why people won't like the album. It's a decent album overall but I never thought a Jay and Kanye album would feel so Soul-less.

That whole album gave this "this is how success feels like" vibe... look how i can go to paris, fly around in private jets, ball out, buy expensive clothes and smell good all while doing it, these are the rewards of hardwork and you too can achieve that.
