Yea that was the first one I did. All the stranger missions are depressing. I'm pretty sure that's how it really was back then.

*SPOILER*

The "California" mission was fucked up. After you found him dead you had to deliver his letter to his fam. Dude went crazy.

Let's try approaching from a completely different direction:

Start at Benedict Point and take the road south, then west at the fork.
Continue along the main road as it curves northwest to the triangular crossroads and then back southwest.
Just after the road turns northwest again, you'll see two tall rocks on either side of the road (they appear to be the remains of an archway). These rocks should show up on the in-game map as well as on your radar.
As soon as you pass these rocks, start looking towards the south for a large boulder just off the side of the road.
The stranger should be sitting by this boulder.

It seems to be around the Hanging Rock though. There is a noose in the corner and the big rock and trees look like the Hanging Rock

I been playing NCAA 11 dynasty mode for the past 3 days heavy. I need to get back to this game and finish it. I'm like 44% done, I wonder how much of that is the story.

Its a Brick of Gold, if you want to sell it at a store it varies in worth depending on what area you try to sell it in like (Mexico, Blackwater , ETC)
