it wouldn't be surprise me one bit if jay bought off albums and honestly i think he did..i mean what is 1-2 mill to a someone worth 400+...jay doesn't want the stigma of a failing CEO, plus it brings positive press to the label and artist....its a very smart move by jay IMO

The real chessmaster is Birdman. this is year 6 of him puttin intense pressure on the industry. puffy tapped out and became a alcohol salesman now here we have Jay Z buying albums (as usual) to boost numbers. at the end of the day 1 birdman project outsold 3 jay z products. you can put up many fag pics of Jay Z being wined and dined like a manhattan hooker with old white men who dont give 2 shits about him but the numbers are not lying. Drake album is about to at least go gold the first week so thats another plaque for CMR and another nigga that outsold Cole. Jay Z been hustling backwards since 2003. his label has no identity or no unification. just a bunch of overhyped egos. but i see through all of them soft hearted roc nation niggas.

By the time J. Cole prepares to release/record his second album, he would have built up enough equity to have more creative control over his singles...

...Cole's debut was bangin, but i do feel that his second album may be better.

why can't ya niggas just accept the fact that j.cole has a loyal fanbase?

Jay-Z probably has the most passionate haters in hip hop.....they will stop at nothing to discredit him

THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE COLE WORLD LOL. I HEARD ABOUT COLE FUCKING WITH HOV LATE 07 AND THAT NIGGA ALBUM JUST CAME OUT DAMN NEAR 2012. That nigga came out around the same time as drake. nicki manij and big sean came out after him and both released albums before him with all kinds of promo and support from their bosses. cole been on the shelf for like 5 years and barley got any support from his boss. All the music hov released and projects he's been involved with and j cole gets a feature on a mid core jay album. mr hudson from kanye label made it on watch the throne. frank ocean who aint on none of they labels is on two songs. why couldn't jay put cole on a track to get some energy going for coles album?

There weren't any other MCs on WTT. They only made room for singers.

I think Cole got decent promo, a lil' push, and he did a lot of leg work himself. He came out the gate with an album that's likely to go gold. That's a good start for dude. It looks to me like he's set up for longevity. The big question will be how long he has to wait around in order to drop his 2nd disc.

FNL was dope, was nothing more than Drake's SFG. They both made mixtapes better than their albums because they were eager to release music and they felt pressure from fans to do something. And, in the end, they both let the mixtape buzz completely fizz before they dropped their albums. Weird.

to free huey, J.cole came out with his first mixtrape in 07, he didnt get signed or recognized till summer of 09 B. drake blew up with "best i ever had" and the SFG mixtape while nicki had her mixtape out n she got signed around the same time, i know this because i remember that summer very well, it was one of the best summers i ever had. so ur argument is irrelevant. and the fact that drake had "best i ever had" and "successful" as singles and they were both huge hits kinda gives him the edge and nicki minaj had hits as well where as J.cole didnt and he really only has a college and internet fanbase but because he spits lyrical and real music (noone can argue this) it relates to the people and the people belived in something greater then a hit single or being on top. J.cole is an aritsit and hes here to stay he has over 90 songs but with one album out, give him tiem hes a rookie, why u wanna see him fail so bad? J.cole, Drake, Kendrick, KRITWale, Stalley (i think), Jay elcetronica (hopefully), Mac Miller, nicki, lil wayne (already has it on lock), are the future of this rap shit, and we are in a totally new generation, TV and radio doesnt run everything anymore, sure it gets u a great amount of exposure but the internet, blogs, word of mouth, talkin real shit, and touring gets u the bit of edge.

hes here to stay. Hip hop aint dead, u just gotta know where to look, the internet IS the streets we the ones who dictate whos gettin on n whos not, thats why the XXL looks up to forums n blogs for what WE think. n J.cole is the next heavyweight in the game........n he did it with no singles, i cant stress that enuff
