I stand correct. People overate the alabama defense. Once again another qb with weapons beat a Saban Alabama defense.

All of'em were/are mobile too! But those names ain't to shabby either. lol

Saban's defenses as a COLLECTIVE are always really good/really damn good b/c the front end works well w/ the back end, but one thing they've never really had (IMO) are fast/speedy Linebackers. They're built to stop the run 1st and are taught/coached very well all around, but I've never seen him have that one LB or (or DE for that matter) that just wrecked shop on QB's all seasin long with pure speed.

To me he recruits scheme specific and that affects why I think they have trouble with mobile QB's.

This year our LBs as a collective are much faster and more athletic. Tim Williams, Rueben Foster and Rahsaan Evans are all under 240 I believe. Foster actually dropped weight in the offseason

IMO you can't really overrate a defense that causes turnovers and scores points. Our D scored 12 or 13 TDs Watson just showed why he is the best player in CFB. He should have won the Heisman.

Overall tho as far as this game both teams played well. Somebody had to take the L. It just ended up being us

Oh I agree that this is prolly the fastest LB core y'all have had and they ball! But for Bama to be Bama, u guys just haven't that one LB/DE dude who scares the hell out of offenses w/ his speed. It's the way Nick recruits tho.

Deshaun had a great season, but he had 17 picks!... Lamar deserved that trophy, that nikka had 3500+ pass and 1500+ rush w/ 51 td's.

It is what it is.

Three straight CFP appearances, 2 straight Bowl wins, three straight SEC titles, a national title, two straight CFP championship game appearances, three different starting QB's, a Heisman trophy winner, lost the first CFP semifinal by 6 points and lost the national title tonight by 4 points.

Not too many teams can say they did that in 3 years, proud of our boys they played their hearts out and it literally took Clemson to win it at the last second to beat us.
