The way they ran their pick/rub plays are illegal. Wideouts ain't even attemptin' to run a route, ol' boy damn near tackled the DB. The NFL barely even calls it too (see Green Bay when they do it), only if it's egregious. But if the refs let u do it, then by all means........

In those situations, coaches basically gotta tell these db's to not even let them release off the line (in that set formation) on the goal line. Just jam the shit out of them as soon as the ball is snapped or run zone.

That play kilt the Tide twice.

I don't think Alabama defense gonna dominate this game. Good quarterbacks for years have put up points against Alabama defense.

Alabama won last year from special teams. I got clemson winning

I stand correct. People overate the alabama defense. Once again another qb with weapons beat a Saban Alabama defense.

Saban's defenses as a COLLECTIVE are always really good/really damn good b/c the front end works well w/ the back end, but one thing they've never really had (IMO) are fast/speedy Linebackers. They're built to stop the run 1st and are taught/coached very well all around, but I've never seen him have that one LB or (or DE for that matter) that just wrecked shop on QB's all seasin long with pure speed.

To me he recruits scheme specific and that affects why I think they have trouble with mobile QB's.

This year our LBs as a collective are much faster and more athletic. Tim Williams, Rueben Foster and Rahsaan Evans are all under 240 I believe. Foster actually dropped weight in the offseason

IMO you can't really overrate a defense that causes turnovers and scores points. Our D scored 12 or 13 TDs Watson just showed why he is the best player in CFB. He should have won the Heisman.

Overall tho as far as this game both teams played well. Somebody had to take the L. It just ended up being us
