Are we still arguing about if players develop in the L?

Yes because Kobe is the same player he was at 18, so was Durant, Lebron?

Stop it, players get lots of attention and training in the off season , in season it's all about film sessions and limited practice.

Exactly.

Ultimately it comes down to the player. Unlike while they are in school, these guys can work on their craft 24/7. While in school it is against regulations for the coaching staff to train the players over a certain amount of time per day. Not to mention they have to attend school a certain amount of time.

While you are in the NBA you can train as much as you want, get the best coaches, weight trainers, nutritionists, shooting coaches, etc. to help you get better during the offseason. Not to mention you have the money, time and opportunity to do these things. People are practically begging to help these high draft picks get to their potential.

Roy Hibbert definitely developed in the league. Bynum too.

Roy Hibbert spent 4 years at Gtown.

Bynum didnt start the game at age 16 like Embid. Bynum was also drafted as a project, not the number 1 pick.

Learn the difference between develop and learn.

Kobe, Durant, Lebron, etc all developed an existing skill set. Watch kobe's game at age 18. HIS GAME HAS NOT CHANGED MUCH. Rather, he's perfected it, learned what works, i.e., DEVELOPED the game he had back then. The ngga was mimicking Jordan then, he's mimicking Jordan now Lol. He learned nouances along the way. He did not learn an entirely new repetoire (sp) once he hit the legaue. Same for all of them.

And none of them nggas was raw at all. Young does not equal raw. Embiid is RAW. nh

No learning (reading defenses, adjusting form, point of release, types of shots - one dribble pull up left and right, passing out of the double, making plays for others, footwork, post moves, moving without the ball) occurs?

They don't learn anything new? Ok if you say so, guess we watching two different leagues

Hibbert was raw after spending 4 years at Georgetown. He was drafted in the late teens and wasnt nearly as good as he is today. Kobe wasnt raw his first year?? What did he average like 6 ppg? His in between game nh and his defensive instincts got drastically better as we'll as his post game.

@s2j I got this, it's aight.

Some coaches are better developing young guys than others.

So in other words if he doesnt pan out its b/c the right coach didnt develop him lol

Yall nggas r good. Lol

Exum will be a Laker. Hired Kobe's agent. Already been on record saying he will sit down w/ Kobe and LA is the ideal place he wants to play. Pelinka knows what he is doing floating all this out there soon as he declares himself eligible.

I think him and Pelinka forces his way to LA. Only way I see it not happening is if LA wins the whole lottery to get to 1. I think it's Embiid then. 2 or later Exum.

This draft looks like every team is at least gonna get a contributor. Might be a team here and there that will still find a way to fuck up.

Exum and Wiggins have highest chance to be busts. Parker and Randle are the more safe picks.

Andrew Wiggins has progressed during his freshman season at Kansas.

Wiggins has played great defense and increased his three-point percentage to 37 percent.

"He's playing so much better," one GM said. "He's becoming aggressive. He's playing with more poise. He missed a lot of shots on Saturday, but many of them were good shots that just didn't go down. He's going to have to get better at finishing around the basket in traffic, but lately he's been playing like the Wiggins we knew in high school. I think he's still very much in the running for the No. 1 pick. If I were choosing between him and Embiid, I don't know what I'd do."

GM: I'd Take Tyler Ennis Over Kyrie Irving Right Now

Tyler Ennis has had an excellent freshman season for undefeated Syracuse, showing great instincts as a scorer and point guard.

"If you were to ask me right now whether I'd take Ennis over Kyrie Irving, I think it's Ennis," one GM said. "He does all the things that help a basketball team win basketball games. You can pick him apart on individual flaws, but I would take this kid right now and trust him to run my team. I think there's very few freshmen you could ever say that about."

Ennis is averaging 12.1 points, 5.7 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game.
