I ain't even know we was on ESPN Thursday till they were talking bout AJ not playing.

Really don't wanna listen to them niggas

If it wasn't for the internet, I wouldn't have seen his Sunday Conversation last week on ESPN.

It ain't even about "protesting" ESPN or no shit like that -- shit is just wack now. You know what everybody's gimmick is and it's all tired.

NFL Network is getting the same way.

Just saw a commercial for Fox Sports 1 previewing their "shows" and I swear you could tell exactly which ESPN show they were biting with each one.

They got this shit called "The Crowd Goes Wild" with four panelists and a Female "moderator".

Only thing worse than ESPN is a bootleg ESPN. smh

We'll be on Hard Knocks after all. But we ain't fallin' for no fuck shit...

The Falcons are opening their doors to the Bengals for two days of joint practices, and they know that means a television crew is coming with them.

But after turning down a chance to do Hard Knocks themselves last year, the Falcons aren’t eager to have cameo roles in the HBO show.

”We will not have any of our players miked,” Falcons coach Mike Smith said, via the Associated Press. ”This show is about the Cincinnati Bengals.”

Even Falcons receiver Roddy White, who is rarely shy about expressing his opinions, said he wanted to be careful.

”I’m not really a miked-up guy,” White said. ”I just like to come out here and practice. I don’t want them to hear what I’m saying because I don’t want them to say it on TV. We’ll be going over signals and things like that, so I don’t want to give away our calls early in the season. . . .

”The only thing we talked about was not getting in a fight to give anything to the cameras to tune in and watch on HBO. ‘That’s about it.”

Bengals coach Marvin Lewis talked to Smith about the show and its logistical challenges, and Smith has some background as he was on the Ravens and Jaguars staffs when they starred in the show.

But after avoiding the show previously, the Falcons hope to get through the next few days without turning into accidental stars.

Peter King article

6. I think one of the fastest risers around the league in the first week or so of camp play has been Atlanta cornerback Robert Alford. The second-round pick could challenge first-rounder Desmond Trufant—one of the most experienced college corners to enter the league in recent years—because of the clinging coverage ability he’s shown early in Falcons camp. I remember GM Thomas Dimitroff telling me before the draft not to be shocked to see Alford go in the first round. Though he went 60th, he’s a threat to beat out Trufant for the starting corner slot alongside Asante Samuel.

Told y'all 'bout Alford.

S/O to Peter King tho. He's one of the few major sportswriters that shows the Falcons love. He ain't bias, he's just real. If we're trash - he tells it. If we're ballin' - he tells it.

He's a dying bread of *real* sports journalists.

Bengals scrimmage tidbits...

D. Orlando Ledbetter ‏@AJCFalcons1m

#Falcons Dline vs. #Bengal oline was a draw. Osi dominated on his few reps.

- Spoon left with a stinger injury. (jogged off the field, looked fine.)

- Bengals D-line ragdolled our O-line a few times.

However...

(from AF.com)

Paul Dehner Jr. ‏@pauldehnerjr 5m

Not much trouble for Matt Ryan in 11-on-11. Picked on Adam Jones and Reggie Nelson each once throwing to Harry Douglas.

1.the defense looks pretty good.

2. Ryan is without julio and tony and the oline is being dominated and he still carving up the bengals defense

3. Steven Jackson is shittin.

4. Hd looks really good

Bad news - the oline looks bad overall. Bengals have one of the best dlines in the nfl though

************

Kinda glad Julio is chilling. I really don't even wanna see him, Roddy, Gonzo or Jax in the preseason. AT ALL.

I wouldn't mind Ryan getting a couple drives in the 1st three games with HD as his #1 receiver.

HD should play at least 2 quarters in each preseason game. All jokes aside.

Falcons middle of the OL looked great. There was pressure of the edge but Ryan could step up in the pocket and complete his passes.

Coo. I dislocated my thumb in high school. Pop that shit back in place right after a play. That thumb still look weird to this day tho. lol

Kinda disappointed in Darius Johnson. He looked like he would have the best outside shot to make the squad.

I have no idea wtf a Nick Clancy is.

HD needs that time. I posted the same thing in last year's thread -- I wanna see HD get some burn as the #1 or 2 receiver in the preseason to get him going.

I've noticed that he falls asleep in games if he doesn't get at least 3 passes thrown his way. And if he goes all day without a look, he does something stupid like the NFCCG.

Like I said, he'll have the most expendable contract on the team this time next year, especially if he has another typical HD season.

It ain't sexy (nh) but I keep hearing that Bosher is bootin' the fuck out of his punts too. 65-70 yards like clockwork.

A slept on aspect of the game - especially the NFL.

Apparently we reached a "deal" with one of the churches for damn 20 million. (smh) So it may be on the south site after all.

Let's see how much of that $20 mill they put into the fucked up neighborhood just around the corner from the church.

I'll wait...
