Ryan's 56 career wins are the most by any quarterback in his first five seasons in NFL history.

A woman who falsely accused a fellow Long Beach Poly High School student of rape in 2002 was ordered by a judge on Friday to pay $2.6 million to the school district.

Wanetta Gibson was not in court and her whereabouts are unknown, according to prosecutors.

The judgement allows the Long Beach Unified School District to garish Gibson’s future wages and property.

Gibson had sued the district for lax security during the rape trial and received $750,000 from a $1.5 million settlement. brianbanks

She later recanted her rape charge against Brian Banks, who was convicted and served more than five years in prison.

He was exonerated in May of last year.

Banks earlier this year signed a contract to play football for the Atlanta Falcons.

What, somebody on the falcons board mentioned a non-SEC player?? One of the reasons I stopped fuckin' with that board is all the low-self esteem ass rednecks and muhfuggas that think we should just import the entire all-SEC team onto the falcons roster every draft.

But nah, Po'uha would help depth, but he's no seymour. He's that space-eater type that I've been saying that we need tho.

He won't get a bunch of sacks or TFL's, but he'll plug up the middle and free up our edge rushers and LB's to make plays. Basically an older Haloti N'gata.

Following up on the Richard Seymour/Falcons story from Sat night, he remains open to signing w/ATL before camp but off things off for now...

Worth noting Seymour lives in ATL and would like to be there and Falcons are in Super Bowl or bust mode. We'll see if $ is right later on

I think it's a combination of money and him not wanting to fuck with training camp. Vets (especially big dudes) try to avoid camp at all costs.

Since he's totally new, he won't get the same Vet pass as Goatzalez or Abraham did. I think we should use that paper to get a space-eater DT and another decent LB and be done with it.

I'm starting to get a Ray Edwards vibe from this dude.

lol @ these dudes...

2. If there's one Achilles' heel that could trip up the offense, it's the front five. The Falcons have drafted offensive linemen Peter Konz, Mike Johnson and Lamar Holmes in the early rounds recently so they would be ready to succeed veterans Todd McClure and Tyson Clabo by now. We'll find out quickly if the youngsters have developed into capable starters, as they are replacing a combined 294 games started between McClure and Clabo at center and right tackle.

I love how nobody has ever called our offensive line anything better than average in the last couple years, but now that we've let a couple players go and replaced them with younger, more talented players it's a "achilles heel".

Foh. Clabo was solid, McLure was too, but neither was irreplaceable. Hell, with Konz's talent and the way he played last year, it wasn't a guarantee that Mclure's old ass had the center position on lock, and Clabo was basically the Brent Grimes of Tackles (undrafted overachiever -- and he signed with Miami, lol.)

Nah my favorite hater-ism is

Falcons last 3-4 years: "They ain't real contenders"

Falcons now: The window of the Falcons being contenders is about to close

If you gonna hate on a squad at least be consistent

youre asking for too much.....teams win championships and dont really get credit. thats just the nature of the beast

the birds about to slay some of the haters tho. another deep playoff run or two and theyll have to come with more legitimate arguments

They'll just move the goal post somehow.

The Matt Ryan haters are already shifting to "He got all that talent" mode.

What they fail to realize is that if you you're saying Matt has "all this talent" then to me that just means...

4 or 5 Great players on my squad's offense >>>>> One great players on my squad's offense.

So in the end they're still unintentionally giving us a compliment. lmao

http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/story/...rewinds-tape-on-final-drive-of-nfc-title-game

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- As Matt Ryan worked the projection system in the darkened Atlanta Falcons' quarterback room here at the team facility, looking to find the start of his team's fourth-quarter drive from the NFC Championship Game that I came here to break down with him, he offered me some advice.

"Before we get started, I want to say that the game wasn't won or lost on this drive," Ryan said. "We had opportunities earlier. I will pull up three plays from earlier that changed the game. We talk about three or five plays that determine the outcome. It wasn't just that last drive."

Ironically, I re-watched that game on NFL Rewind on Sunday and I felt the same way.

However, bottom line is that we should have been able to run out the clock and put more pressure on the QB and actually put somebody on Vernon fuckin' Davis.

I re-wound all of Vernon's big catches several times each and realized NOBODY was covering him directly. LB's and safeties covering a shallow zone were expected to cover him like he's some type of "scrub" tight end.

That's the only game where I can honestly say Nolan fucked up.

Niners don't even have the kinda talent on offense for us to be ignoring Davis. Davis was hands down their best player on offense, but we were doubling Crabtree an' shit.

Oh well, what's done is done. I don't do moral victories, but it felt good to have a season end in a game that we easily could've won and didn't get our ass whooped. lol

They were hiding him with a wheel route which is probably the hardest route to cover in football when it's done right (i.e., that Harry Douglas stumble and when he actually caught it for a big gain in the Giants game was a type wheel route.)

But like I said, they should've had a man devoted exclusively to Davis.

That's the only trick to ANY option offense. I hope these NFL teams aren't paying these college teams to show them how to stop the read option. Cause it's actually simple.

You need athletic D-lineman and LB's and you need to have assignments for every linebacker and safety.
