Hearing the Falcons are trying to trade up from number 30 in the first round, and not, obviously, for a quarterback.

Falcons board said we're playing at Miami on the first game?

I wonder who they'll have Grimes playing against.

Does it really matter?? If it's true Roddy or Julio leaving Miami with a son

I'm glad the first game is against the Aints. Take control of the division early.

Why would they make the Jets game prime time though?

ATLANTA -

The Atlanta Falcons starting safety, William Moore, was arrested on a charge of simple battery on Thursday, according to Fulton County Jail records.

Moore was booked into Fulton County Jail, according to jail records.

No details were immediately available about the arrest.

Moore was selected by the Falcons in the second round of the 2009 draft.

Earlier this year, he signed a five-year extension with the team.

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports the Falcons are "high" on Oregon DE/LB Dion Jordan and Alabama CB Dee Milliner as they attempt to trade up in the draft. Jordan is a less realistic target -- he's a surefire top-four selection -- but Milliner definitely would make sense at a major need position in Atlanta. GM Thomas Dimitroff is believed to be targeting a large first-round trade up, potentially into the top five or ten picks. We suspect Milliner is the player he wants.

I like Millner but something about them Bama DBs worry me

Werd. That's why I want to get Banks.

Trust me, it's alot easier to "shut down" a receiver when you got a defense full of great players.

I remember in high school, the seniors before us had much more defensive talent, and I was out there lookin like a D-1 corner, lol. Them niggas left, and our who secondary looked like 4 Chris Owens'. smh.

I keep wavering back and forth on whether we should draft a CB or pass rusher first.

I'm back on the "pass rusher" side. Re-watched our playoff games and it was disgusting how much time kaep and wilson had in the pocket.

But personally, I think the best pass rusher ain't even a DE or OLB. I think it's Star Loutei. I know Babs and Peters are good, but we still need a DT that beast the middle. Ain't so much about him gettin' sacks, but just blowing up the interior.

Thinking back to when Sapp was in his prime with the Bucs and we had Vick, ain't nothing worse than trying to run a play (especially a gimmick running QB play) when a good 3-tech DT is fuckin' shit up.

The problem is I really think we need another pass rusher, but the CB's in this draft >>>> the DE's.

And just drafting somebody because their position "matches your needs" don't mean shit if that player can't bring it.

I would like to see them draft a lineman first also. A good DB doesn't mean anything if the QB has all day to throw it.

Exactly.

Beefing up the secondary with a suspect pass rush = Trying to dodge a bullet at point-blank range.

Beefing up the pass rush = Trying to knock the gun out of his hand.

Which one makes more sense?
