Something tells me that TD will make an Asante type of trade for a cb just as a safety net in case the rookie doesnt pan immediately.

You never know with TD. I would be REAL surprised if our draft order stays the same. He makes at least one surprising move per year it seems like.

@greenwood1921 What U Think About Lattimore Should We Give Him A Shot With Our 5th Pick?

I wouldn't be mad at it. A similar risk was taken with Willis McGahee with the Bills and he ended up being a 1,000 rusher with a couple pro bowls (with several teams).

I wouldn't draft him higher than the 4th tho. But it makes sense with a mid to late round pick.

Low risk/high reward is always good.

I really like the veterans that we're bringing in. Reminds me of '98.

One of the most slept on aspects of that 98 team was having FA vets like Cornelius Bennet, Eugene Robinson, Tony Martin, etc.

This is what we'll have to do on defense and the RB and TE positions for the next few years until we get long term starters.

Chris Tomasson ‏@christomasson

Karlos Dansby's father, Samuel Dansby, told FOX Sports Florida teams in mix to sign his Miami-released son include Giants, Ravens, Falcons.
Pat Kirwan ‏@PatKirwanCBS

Karlos Dansby said he took the brace off his bicep late in 2012 and had 14 tackles against the Patriots...thinks the Falcons a great spot

Dansby would be a great replacement for Peterson.

I wonder what Peterson is gonna do. It will be weird to see D-Block without him. It's time for Spoon to take the all-spark anyway. Shit will probably be even funnier with Spoon hosting it.

Based on the needs and likely 1st round targets of other teams...

One of the first-round rated CB's will drop in our hands at #30.

Miliner and Xavier Rhodes might go first to either the Browns or Dolphins (who just signed Brent). Broncos are another likely team ahead of us to draft a corner. So that's only 3 teams that could likely go CB in the first round.

But there are 4 sure-fire 1st round rated CB's.

Miliner, Rhodes, Trufant, and Banks.

Which is good because it basically means we won't have to trade up to get one.

Patriots could go CB, but they need interior DL help more.

Not to mention Poyer will drop to a late 2nd or 3rd because of a unimpressive combine.

I really hope we go CB in the first round. Hopefully Carradine will fall to the 2nd, but he's gaining momentum.

My problem with him is he was arguable the 3rd best DE on FSU last year.

I fuxx with the Brian Banks move. Dude is working hard to make a roster and he deserves the opportunity. I'm rooting for him to make the squad I heard he's fast and strong.

"I'll make 'em happy," says Banks, who's been training non-stop since October. "After all I've been through these last 10 years, I can still do some things that will impress you.

Like dead-lift 545 pounds, box jump 55 inches flat-footed, broad jump 10-plus feet and run a 4.6 40, all at 6-foot-2 and 245 pounds. NFL trainer Gavin Macmillan, who has volunteered to train Banks for free, says he has a shot. "You see him run and you can see why USC wanted him.

Quote from Banks....

If all of that is true then Dent needs to stay on top of his shit.

He has a decent shot at it. We need about 2 LB's. We'll sign maybe 1 or 2 more off the street before camp and maybe draft one or two. So he'll only have to beat out like 3 scrubs to at least get a roster spot.

His best bet is to make the roster and then become a special teams specialist at least for this year.

If sticks to the roster long enough to get to the first preseason game, I think he'll show out.

I wonder what number Osi will rock. Some-timey ass Sam Baker got 72. They should compete against each other in practice. If Osi gets more than 3 sacks on him in camp, he gets it. lol

Probably 90 since Chuck Smith is his mentor

Clabo was the best Olineman on the dam team. Im mad....

I hope its just to restructer his contract. I dont understand

Me either. I assume they're doing to clear up space for other moves and Ryan's new deal, but damn, dude is a monster. I hope we can restructure cause he won't last long on the open market.

Didn't expect that lol. But this is probably the reason TD drafted Lamar Holmes last year.

And why we didn't let Baker walk.

As long as it ain't like the beginning of the 2011 season when Matt Ryan had about 1.5 seconds to find a receiver.

A better run game will lighten the load too.

That Draw and checkdown to the RB will be murder with Steven Jax. After re-watching most of our games from 2012, it seemed like every carry I saw Turner get, I could see Jackson getting at least 1 more yard. And some of Turner's best 10-15 yard gains could've went to the house with Jackson.
