I think we can easily get two decent corners in the draft.

Fortunately we got one cold ass safety and another Good safety (decoud) so that takes pressure off of our corners.

I still think we should get a return man and a TE in the draft but those first 5 picks we have in the first 4 rounds should all be DLs, CBs, and one LB.

Vet DE are going for the low right now so we'll probably scoop one up then you still got Massaquoi and Cliff Matthews for the rotation.

I think a DB will be our first pick and it'll probably be Trufant and come back with a DE in the 2nd

If we get Trufant I'm diddy bopping all thru this bish.

DE's are looking deeper in the draft the closer to april we get.

Like this cat from Western Kentucky, Quanterus Smith. Dude got 3 sacks against Alabama and they probably had the best O-line in the nation next to OU.

He got hurt last year, so his stock plummeted to a 3rd or 4th rounder.

Actually, I'm hearing that Qaunterus Smith kid might fall as low as 5th or 6th round since he hasn't been able to work out on that knee yet.

@MaryKayCabot

#Browns have agreed to terms with cornerback Chris Owens of the Falcons, a league source told the Plain Dealer today

yes.gif

I would fuck with urlacher for the same paper we gave Tatupu last year.

He's a 1 or 2 down LB at best now and he needs to come to terms wit dat.

@AdamSchefter Falcons making strong push to sign Giants free-agent DE Osi Umenyiora and are trying to wrap up a deal with him before end of the weekend

I got the feeling this draft will be TDs best.

He trying to get his 3rd Executive of the Year award in 6 years.

If Gonzo, Jax, and any of our rookies contribute, he'll get it easy.

I think Seattle Seahawks gm will win executive of the year. He should have got it last year but niggas be hating.

okay.

As the weekend moves toward a conclusion, defensive end Osi Umenyiora’s time as a free agent is coming to a close.

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Umenyiora is expected to join the Falcons on Sunday or, at the latest, on Monday.

“Atlanta is the place,” the source said.

Aight. Hopefully, Abe will break down and come back home for the low too. AND draft a DE within the first 2 rounds (and a later round).

D-lines need rotations these days. Bierman & Osi/Abraham on most plays.

Abraham + Osi on most pass downs. That would be cold.

Still need a space-eater DT. Especially with Vance gone.

I just told the folks in my Falcons room on FB the same shit.......

Claims he wants to move up on the all time sack list. He comes back and plays opposite Osi he should have another 10 sack season. That would put him in the top 10.

If a top D-lineman is in reach for us (like Star Leutuei or Jessie Williams) we should get'em in the 1st round.

Space eaters and good 3-techniques just make it easier for edge rushers to rack up sacks. We already have two solid DT's in Babs and Peters, but we need 2 more for a top notch rotation.

Cause neither Osi or Abraham can handle double teams.

Just realized that 2012 was the first good year the Falcons ever had without a top notch kick returner or punt returner.

If its one thing we've had a good history of is KR/PR's.

Billie "White Shoes" Johnson

Prime Time

Eric Metcalf

Tim "D-white Boy" Dwight

Allen Rossum

Eric Weems

Big plays from big returners will win you at least 2 or 3 games a season and one is usually in the playoffs.

Tim Dwight was the slept-on MVP of that 98 season. And he had the best performance of any Falcon in the super bowl that year. Don't forget Eric Weems took one back against Green Baby in 2010.

We need that back, homie.

I'd rather just cop one in the draft. I think we can get Ace Sanders in the 5th or 6th round. Or even Denard Robinson who will be a 6th or 7th round pick at best.
