From what ive seen we have about 3.4 mil left in cap space after resigning Gonzo(50/50 bout that) and they expect that to be used for the draft picks. I swear if we can get bout 2 vets for that D we might be str8. Need to bring Abe back.

True. But remember, he's from the New England regime. They didn't start spending on defensive players until he left.

Two reasons we didn't play in the super bowl...

1. No run game to put away games with leads (a problem we had ALL year.)

2. No pass rush to go after QBs trying to come back on us with a lead (another problem we had ALL year.)

We're going to put up 25-30 points every game with this offense. But in the late 3rd Qtr we need a run game to move the chains safely and keep the clock moving, and a pass rush to go after these desperate QBs (who have to pass to come back.)

Wouldn't be surprised if our first two picks were D-linemen.

Dream scenario for me

-Move some money around for Dumervil and sign a couple of low salary deals (Osi/Freeney, Dansby) then get another DB in the draft (Trufant/Rhodes etc)

But the most likely scenario is that we sign a pass rusher, re-sign Miko and draft a DE in the 1st

4th rd - RB/WR/KR (Ace Sanders would be my dream pick right here.)

One of these teams that "look" like they're rebuilding with new coaches, young rosters might surprise. (Chiefs, Titans come to mind)

We proved in the playoffs that we can hit ANYbody in the mouth, all we need to do is learn how to nurse leads. And you do that by improving run game and pass rush. We're halfway done with that.
