2nd half of the season startin tonight.. pirates got a nice matchup between greinke n the brew crew. secretly though, we've got one of the best pitchers (of the first half) going tonight in james mcdonald. 9-3 with a 2.67 era. hopefully he can keep it up through this half.. gonna need him to be that ace he's been

buccos have lost 3 outta 4 to start the 2nd half.. not a huge deal.. as long as they continue to believe in themselves.. i know others around them (media..even fans) will start to think they're about to collapse ala last year

yeah.. thats basically where it all fell apart. i got kicked out the bar that night cause i threw my drink when ump called dude safe haha that was a historically bad call. we really were not the same after that game

that'd be a much needed addition. pedro is also heating up.. idk if you caught the highlights last night between them n the rockies, but he turned on this 98 mph fastball n hit it the opposite way.. its about time we've gotten somethin from him.. hopefully he keeps it up

i saw it , he def. went with the pitch , but i dont ever think he'll be what he can be until he drops that weight, aint like he gotta be a body builder but he's just too sloppy .... but like i said earlier in the thread at least he's showing signs of life , i remember Edwin Encarnación was like that as far as figuring things out at the plate, took him a while

so the cable went out over here.. comes back on, and we're down 5-1 in the 2nd against the rockies.. just to come back the next inning and take the lead 6-5... j-mac fuckin up these last couple outtings though. his era at the break was 2.36.. entering today it was 2.57... it'll prob be closer to 3 after today. one thing we can have happen is are starting pitching to fold
